David Stern: NBA to Look Into Adding H-O-R-S-E to All-Star Weekend

There's a reason David Stern is often considered the best commissioner in all of sports: He is a man of vision.

During a chat on ESPN.com (sorry, Insider) this afternoon, a reader brought up the possibility of adding a H-O-R-S-E tournament during the All-Star break, and as my colleague Tom Ziller briefly pointed out, Stern entertained the idea.
David Stern: We're open to it. I think we are continually looking for different ways to showcase our players skills. One issue there is competitiveness! We might get somebody so hot they will embarrass everybody else.

But we will look into it.
Should the NBA add H-O-R-S-E to the weekend (and hopefully get rid of that gawd-awful skills challenge), I guarantee you that it'll be the most popular feature of the mid-season showcase. Unlike the stale dunk contest, guys will kill for the opportunity to participate in the event since it's something they already compete in practically every day after practice. Please God David Stern, let this happen.
