Here is a tad more information about the shooting of Redskins' safety Sean Taylor that has left him in critical condition.
Local 10 news reports that Taylor was shot in his home at 18050 Cutler Road in South Dade at 1:30 am this morning.
Taylor was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital around 2 a.m., according to police.
A family friend, who did not want to be identified, told Local 10's Rad Berky that Taylor was shot twice. Police said Taylor was in critical condition.
Crime scene investigators were seen leaving with bags of evidence collected inside the home, Berky said.
According to the Miami Herald, apparently Taylor was home as someone was trying to break into his house.
According to police, Miami-Dade patrol officers received a call about 1:45 a.m. Monday that a homeowner had been shot in the leg. The homeowners told police they heard intruders at the rear door of the house, trying to pry it open.
The male homeowner went to investigate and a woman in the house then heard a shot. Paramedics responded and found Taylor with a gunshot wound to the groin.
Obviously, we will have much more on this as facts come to light.

If he hadn't been an idiot and used a gun to be a big man then maybe he would still be allowed to have one so he could protect himself from an intruder. YOU LIE IN THE BED YOU MAKE.

That's just a wonderful perspective to have. You'd think that despite the mistakes someone has made in the past, you could have just a small shred of sympathy for a young man who is fighting for his life. Shame on you.

E... frankly, you are an idiot and obviously heartless. Who are you to pass judgement on what he has done in the past? What do you know about what he is doing with his life now? I'm guessing nothing... this is a man's life that you are talking about, and there is nothing to say that he deserves what has happened to him!
And by the way... you could say the same thing about lying in the bed that you make to the guy who stole his property... not that it makes violence okay... but I'm guessing it's pretty clear where I'm going with this...
Bottom line... my prayers are with Sean and his family and his loved ones. I pray that he is able to pull through.

"Judge not, lest ye be judged". Since as a society, we have chosen to allow the justice departments of this country to judge & punish crimes, why don't we let them do their jobs? It usually works out better than having lay persons, who seldom know all the facts, trying to do it. Sounds to me like Mr. Taylor is receiving a pretty stern punishment for whatever wrongs he may have done; no firearm to defend himself and in critical condition. In the meantime, perhaps you should try working on your own issues, like lack of compassion and lack of empathy for your fellow man. Who knows, you may need someone(s) to extend some of both to you one day! Personally, in lieu of your comments above, I'd be real concerned right now about what type of bed I was making for myself. But hey, that's just me!

whatever yall...even if he had had a gun that doesn't necessarily mean that he wouldn't have been shot. Chances are good he would've been shot anyway. The only thing that matters now is that everyone prays for him and his family. Hopefully he'll make a full recovery and be able to the redskins.

Where do you get your information? Have you been listening to all the positive things his coaches, his peers, and his fans have had to say about him? He had some problems in the past but he persevered to get his life and career under control. He has been a good man, a good father and a great football player and we in Washington love him.
