When news broke that Adam Pacman Jones got into a bit of trouble at a strip club, it didn't really shock me. Especially since the day before, I had sat down with the newest issue of The Source magazine and read an interview with him. In the Q&A, The Source writer Ryan Ford asks Jones about his links to strip clubs:

Ford: Are you still frequenting [strip clubs]?

Jones: "The strip clubs in Atlanta are nothing but another nightclub. It's not like they're selling [expletive] in the clubs. I wouldn't even go to a strip club unless it's in Atlanta. I'm 23 years old and really just enjoying my life. Besides, some of the strip clubs got the best food in America."

The most recent alleged incident occurred at the Body Tap Strip Club, which is located in Atlanta. C'mon, Pacman! Don't give me that garbage about strip club food being so good. It's nasty. Plus, Atlanta has plenty of non-bucked-nekked establishments that have pretty darn good grub.

To be fair, there was some very interesting comments from Jones in the article outside of going to strip clubs.

"I thank God that I went through this. I don't care what anybody says. If I never play football again, this has helped me as a person."

{ ... }

"I was 10 years old when I saw my daddy get killed right in front of my face. I'm not trying to say that I'm the only one with a story, but I don't mind telling mine because I beat all the odds."

I don't think anyone has issues about going to strip clubs. People go to them all the time and it is a free country. Heck, in Atlanta, they are everywhere. And Jones has done some very good things in his brief NFL career, like donating money to Nashville firefighters and police officers. When reading the entire article (issue #218), you do get the sense that he isn't a totally bad guy.

He is a guy who's made dumb decisions that have been well documented. If this latest accusation is true, it may be the unkindest cut of all: one from the NFL.
