I've just found evidence that the Pittsburgh Penguins don't use the Wonderlic test in their player personnel program:
As if Caps fans didn't need another reason to hate this club. One thing is for sure -- Sidney Crosby won't go broke if he decides to offer acting lessons to his teammates.

The entire city of Pittsburgh should be ashamed of this ad. All sports, both collegiate and professional, all people, all walks of life, all ages, all races, all creeds.
I'd be humiliated to call myself a... Pittsburghian? Pittsburgher? ... today.

I'm not embarrassed that Colby Armstrong and Maxime Talbot went to the Jean Claude Van Damme school of acting in the basement of Mellon Arena. There are plenty of things about my hometown that make me ashamed though, one being the odd obsession with the music of Donnie Iris.

Really? You'd be ashamed of something someone in your city did, just because it was cheesy at best?
It's really sad and pathetic that you link your self-worth to that of your home city. I'd be ashamed of you if I were you, too.

This was one of the most hilarious clips i've ever seen, and yes i am a Pittsburgher and a proud one at that. Their hockey players, they don't need to know how to act. By the way, i also enjoy listening to King Cool himself as well, not ashamed of that either, its all part of being from around the 'Burgh.

Bad? Bad? That's not even 'terrible.' Several years ago, Playboy had Siskel & Ebert review a battery of commercials starring athletes. I remember two in particular that stood out as especially barfarific. One starred Evonne Goolagong for something--I don't even remember. But you could see her eyes moving right & left as she read the cue cards. She appeared with her family, but looked so uncomfortable, the spot was painful to watch.
But the WORST, by far, was a commercial for some brand of carpet, with Billy Martin. The commercial ended with Billy Martin sticking his elbow in a bowl of soup, for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
So before you go off on how this is the 'worst' commercial ever, please have some respect for the incompetence & idiocy of previous generations...

To the guy that posted first:
Thank you for doing exactly what we wanted this ad to do....have people talk about it. We were not looking to specifically sell cars from this, just merely have fun with our friends and gain publicity. You are definetely the minority, and I speak for all of us Pittsburghers, we are glad you don't live here.

Hey, Turd Ferguson, the first commenter, I'd be ashamed of myself if I had no sense of humor, which you obviously don't. The city of Pittsburgh has nothing to do with foreign hockey players who are drafted or traded here in an organization. Great players, with a sense of humor, by the way. So shut up, and go cry that you're not doing ads somewhere else, because we don't want to hear it! Let's go Pens!

D: I refuse to accept that notion. I re-assert my position, which is that all of Pittsburgh should be, and is, ashamed by this horrific ad. Pittsburghers, UNITE AND REJECT THIS!

Turd Ferguson: Why are you making such a big deal out of a commercial that is SUPPOSED to BE cheesy? They're hockey players gaining publicity, it's not about "acting" or selling any cars. You act like they are offending your religion or something, just chill. Let's go pens!
