Super Bowl XLII will be best remembered as the one where the New England Patriots' perfect season came crashing down. It should be remember for the Giants' manning (no pun intended) up and winning this thing.
The Eli Manning scramble and David Tyree catch should go down as one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl history. It deseves to go up there with Lynn Swann's catch, John Elway's scramble, Vinatieri's kick, Riggins' rumble, Issac Bruce's catch and Montana-to-Taylor.
This has to be the signature play of this game. The no-quite attitude and playing above your name type of intensity was executed all game ... and in this play.

This catch, like this game and this drive was one for the ages. One of the best Super Bowls in years ends with my Giants beating the "Best team ever" in the Super Bowl.

What do you think will happen with Spags now? Snyder is probably gonna throw money at him dont you think? I really hope Reese offers him a new contract with more money and a HC gig guaranty for after TC eventually leaves. I hope he's learned by being under Jim Johnson that its okay to stay as a DC for a while. TC obviously needs a big contract himself but I really think its important to keep Spags there with him. Whatever it takes IMO has to be done. WHATEVER IT TAKES!

Although I'm not a Giants fan ...I wanted them to win for all the reasons folks wrote them off. I gotta tell you Manning played within himself, and his team rallied around him !!! I think his brother was happier for him then he was when he won last year !! I was so glad to see Brady TRUELY have to play some football, and when the Giants started playing smach mouth defensive ...WoW !!! now that how football is suppose to played.
OKAY NEW YORK !!! You have bad mouth Manning for ...how long ....OKAY .....what do you have to say today.

Castrate Belichek for leaving the field when the game wasn't over yet. Can he not take a loss like a man or is he the wuss that we in NY/NJ know him to be.

Hear, Hear!!! That was a Prine-Time comment. It's hilarious that Belichik takes losing so poorly because he acts like it is a very serious subject. But, on the other hand, he completely disrespects the game itself by trying to cheat to win. I think this sullen reaction of his shows what an adolescent he is on some fundamental level. He should retire to help cleanse the game he damages every time he walks into a stadium.

i call it "3rd and helmet" but whatever you call it,its an amazing catch and definetly most important catch of the game --- haha brady and belichick didnt cheat hard enough and found out how hard it TRULY is to win a superbowl without "spy cameras" this time and lost....and he left the field early because he has less to no class and his team never deserved success in the first place....and im an eagles fan but thank you giants on behalf of the myself, the rams, the panthers, and the EAGLES....i hope this loss scars them FOREVER.

I live out in a sticksy area. We try to pipe in our aerial reception from Los Angeles down south. Unfortunately, it's not reliable: we lost the signal around the end of the first quarter. I was unable to see this great play though I knew it was happening because I was able to get a radio broadcast. . .I could still feel the electricity from this perhaps greatest of all Super Bowls.
