Chris Henry. like a rash, just won't go away. The Bengals released him earlier this off-season after his 11th run-in with police since 2005. Apparently, the team draws the line at double-digit offenses. It's good to set boundaries.
At the time, I (half-kiddingly) speculated that Dallas seemed like the way-too-obvious next destination. Yeah, maybe I was onto something.
While we wait for this thing to sort itself out, Henry spoke to the media for the first time since the Bengals released him early last month. In case you're wondering, he's interested in playing for two teams above all others:
"There are two teams that I would always love to play for: That's New Orleans and Dallas," Henry said. "New Orleans is home for me. That's always been a big dream of mine. Hopefully I can get in there and sit down with the coaches and maybe have an opportunity to get down there. And Dallas is another team that I've always looked up to as a kid and wanted to play for them."No word if either the Saints or the Cowboys are interested in talking to Henry, although it wouldn't surprise me if Jerry Jones is gassing up the team jet as I type this.
Even if another team gives him another chance to mess up, Henry's professional future will depend on the legal system and Roger Goodell. Assuming he can escape with probation or a fine, Henry will still have to get by the commissioner -- the same guy who suspended him for eight games in 2007.

I don't the Saints will want Chris Henry because Sean Payton won't allow bad behaviour on the team. The Cowboys will be right for Chris since star power and money fits hand and glove with Chris Henry.

6'4" with 4.3 speed and a complete disregard for defenses (and authority)?
Sign him immediately. This guy can be had on the cheap and will be someones headache every Sunday.
And if he slips, cut him loose. Very simple.

WR is one of the only positions where the Saints are stacked. Dallas is probably a better option from a personnel stand point.

As a Panthers fan, I must say I DO NOT want Henry to go New Orleans; he's the perfect fit opposite Colston...
I'm already dreading the thought of that Vilma, Morgan, Fujita linebacking tandem. With the Panthers luck, the oft-injured Morgan will never even get so much as a cold sore ever again

Right, Jesse. I'm not nearly as big of a Saints fan as you are! Your opinion is much more valid on this subject!
The Cowboys were dying leading up to the draft and all draft long to acquire a WR via trade. After TO, they have Crayton and that's about it. They were so desperate at the end of the season they actually tried to play Terry Glenn after an entire season not playing after knee surgery.
The Saints, on the other hand, most competitive training camp battle will probably be at WR. WR's on the Saints roster:Colston, Patten, Henderson, Meachem, Moore, Arrington, Copper, and even a big kid named Blythe out of Iowa State.
So, yeah I think its a much better fit personnel wise for the Cowboys especially when you consider that the Cowboys have made it known they have no problem taking a guy who gets arrested for every TD he catches.
Not to mention, how could you begin to count on Henry as a major piece of the puzzle when you expect him to be arrested any minute?

Get all that hot air out dave? Where in my comment did you see me saying anything about the cowboys? Never said the Saints need a WR more then the Cowboys or anything of the sort, simply said your statement about the Saints being stacked at WR - because they are not. But if u want to compare, look at the top 3 receivers of both teams. Cowboys have Owens, Clayton, and Terry Glen. Please tell me that Colston, Patten, and Henderson are better then those 3, ill be laughing till the season starts. Thanks for listing all the Saints receivers like a did. Notice i put a fault after each one except Colston, well its because they are all not complete. Patten is the best bet but he getting older and you cant teach height. Everyone else on that list is INCONSISTENT. Trust me ok i watch every minute of every Saints game and they have all dropped very important passes, or they get batted down, that brings up my next point...

Brees has one of the highest totals of passes batted down at the line cause of his height . This is another reason why him and Colston are so good together . Colston is 6'4 easy. We need more height. And yes i agree with u about the jail part. Hell even if he gets off the commish may not let him back. I was just saying that your comment about the Saints being stacked at WR couldnt be further from the truth. Yes we have a lot of WRs but only 2 that are average or above. Henry would be an upgrade talent wise to our WR depth chart. So go back to Boston...

If he stays out of trouble u cant tell me Brees wouldnt break almost every single season record there is ( some of his own ) with Colston,Henry,Bush, and Deuce to go to. Plus those Shockey rumors still floatin around. Ha we get both those guys and stay injury free... we will have one more parade to go to in Feb. besides the Mardi Gras ones. Can u imagine a Super Bowl parade in New Orleans!!!!

Um Dave ... shut up if u dont know what your talkin about. We ( major Saints fan here ) are not stacked at WR. Only consistent one besides Colston is Patten and he is good but short. Henderson is fast but not reliable, Copper is decent but drops to many important balls, and Meachem should be good but got no playing time last year and is probably a year or 2 away . Not to mention no one besides Colston is taller then 6 feet and Colston has missed games both years from injuries. We need height and consistenty from the 2 receiver bad to go deep into playoffs ( along with a really big turnaround from our secondary). I agree with Tex, sign him , keep him on a short leash and if he messes up cut him.
