Although his teammates may want him around, not everyone in the Giants' team facility is getting along with tight end Jeremy Shockey.Vinny DiTrani of the Bergen Record is reporting that Shockey and Giants general manager Jerry Reese got into "a huge shouting match" during this week's Giants minicamp.
DiTrani apparently did not observe this "huge shouting match," and his item doesn't name a source. But it does quote Giants coach Tom Coughlin as saying, "There is an issue, but it is not something that would prevent him from working."
Whatever the "issue" is, it's clear that Shockey's unhappiness with the Giants is going to remain a story until at least the start of training camp. He's probably not going to be traded, but he's not going to be a happy camper either.

I've never met Shockey, and the media can skew things against a person, but he seems like a whiney b:tch. He probably won't be happy anywhere.

Why and how WRs/TEs became the most conceited guys in sports is beyond me. They're the Robins to the QBs Batman.

Do the giants really need Shockey any more. I mean, is he really worth the headache?

Management must sit down and talk with him. All problems must be discussed openly. If this does not resolve the situation then it is best for the team, management, and Shockey that he move on to another team. His unhappiness and discontent will only spread to other members of the team!

I have to be honest, I just can't bring myself to support this dumb ass anymore! What exactly are his issues?? That his team had the nerve to win a Super Bowl while he was getting drunk off his ass?? Lose him now, the sooner the better....and I was saying the opposite a week ago. Enough is enough.

If management kept him off the sidelines and segregated him during the playoffs I wouldn't blame him for being aggitated at all. Maybe its not him.

I think that most people are speculating. I can only say that there is more to it then what is being written or commented, and no one with half a brain should make a comment unless her/she has the facts. He is upset with the events that occurred last season. I can only say that he did contribute a great deal that is not being discussed. Just listen to his teammates that know him well, and you might get an idea of the type of person he is. He has made major contributions. Can you name a few? I can

NO!??!! Mr. nfl czar? Could you PLEASE elaborate on that? If you can't, then you are either ill informed or dim witted. ONE major contribution was that he got us to the playoffs. SECOND is that he gives his all for his team--yes the GIANTS. THIRD is that he did inspire the team to become united after the first two games that we lost. Let me refresh your memory--remember that the two games--one to Dallas and the second one to Green Bay they lost to (they didn't the second time around during the playoffs--as I recall the GIANTS set the TUNDRA ON FIRE!!.After the two losses--they started winning. You think by magic---NOT!!! We never know what is said in the privacy of the GIANTS locker room...do we? Trust me...I know something that you don't. How would you like it if you gave your all and then someone came along and disrespected you, by saying you did not do much. Think about that one, and then get back to me.

I agree with SPORTS FAN . There is more to it then what you are getting from the media. Hopefully the team will rally around Jeremy Shockey and set the record straight.
