We've got some big news about the MAC conference, and it's not bad. Before that, though, what better time for another installment of MAC FACTS!, right? Right!MAC FACT! Schools in the MAC award athletic scholarships, just like schools in real conferences!
MAC FACT! The MAC has
MAC FACT! The MAC has 13 teams in their conference! Only wacky football conferences have an odd number of schools!
MAC FACT! If the SEC, Big Ten, Big XII, ACC, Pac-10, Big East, C-USA, and WAC were all unable to fulfill their duties, the MAC would be named Miss America of the NCAA!
MAC FACT! Central Michigan has LeFevour, and the only prescription is a solid defensive plan!
MAC FACT! The MAC has a new logo!
Actually, the new logo is a mammoth upgrade over the old, which, and we're being polite here, was dismal. It looked like it had been designed by a child, then placed next to a Chernobyl reactor, then finally broken apart and taped back together by a different, younger, dumber child.

Didn't see what? :)
The logo is a step up, sure... much like good is better than bad because it's nicer. All I can think about when I look at it, however, is the Hartford Whalers.

Huh? I count Michigan and Michigan State in the Big Ten. That's 2. And there's the directional schools in the MAC: Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, and Central Michigan. That's 3.
Can't do math. MAC FACT!

Oh come on now, lets not make fun of thier conference. Sure, it may not stack up if they play against big conferences, but, if you ever watch any of thier games, they're pretty entertaining, evenly matched, hard fought games. I'm a Florida Gator fan but hey, i still admire and give credit to all the schools and thier players, they all work just as hard as the others.

30 Helens agree...of the 13 teams in the Mid-American Conference, 12 of them would beat Iowa in football. Temple, however, would not.
IT'S A (MAC) FACT!

MAC fact: NCAA Football Division I fifth longest winning streak...University of Toledo, 35 games.
During that streak, starting QB Chuck Ealy was undefeated...an NCAA record that still stands.
In fact, during his high school and NCAA career, he never lost...65-0.
