There are not many things in this world that make me enjoy Manu Ginobili. What can I say? I'm opposed to floppy, flopping mcfloppersons. But I will give credit to this new Nike commercial (via Skeets) which makes Manu seem, immortal aside, kind of likable.
Nike, who has quietly been on fire for the past, oh, 20 years, gets another +1 for not making me despise Manu's flopping as much as I normally do.

We in San Antonio know what a very likeable person Manu is. He has a great sense of humor, generous to a fault, and a remarkable love for the game of basketball. By the way, if you watched the games closer you would see the beating that Manu takes every game from the opposition. He was not voted the 6th Man award this year because he flops, but because he gives 110% of himself when he is in the game and is totally unselfish. It's too bad that most of the country doesn't know all of our players better, other than just what you see on the court. Maybe then you could understand why we love our Spurs!

Manu flopping?!?! What a unique and interesting take! You and your perspective on Manu are like a breath of fresh air!
C'mon Will....that is exactly what I would expect from a couple of your Spur-hating collegues but I have come to hope for better from you. Manu neither invented nor even perfected flopping and to hate his antics is to hate 50% of the league. Hating Manu because he is "floppy" is just plain lazy...a tired punchline that has been repeated so often it now carries it's own version of "truth".
If you write crap like that what is Brett going to write about?
