Police Say Man 'Was Upset at the Officiating in an NFL Game' When He Murdered Woman

A disturbing story out of Omaha, Nebraska, details the death of a University of Nebraska-Omaha student in January and the testimony from police officers that the man charged with her murder said he was enraged because of NFL officiating.

The defendant, Kyle Bormann, who is white, also made racist comments and was drunk when police picked him up for the shooting death of Brittany Williams, who was black:
An officer said Bormann was upset at the officiating in an NFL game, and told the officers, "It was because of the blacks. You know how those blacks are."
The shooting took place on January 20, the day of the NFC and AFC Championship Games.
