The world's fastest man has struck again, as Usain Bolt (pictured above center) cruised to victory Thursday in the 200-meter final at the IAAF World Championships in Berlin, setting a world record in the process with a superhuman time of 19.19 seconds.
More Coverage: Watch Bolt's Latest Record Run
Bolt, the Jamaican who dominated the 100 and 200 at last year's Summer Olympics, was already the story of these World Championships after he won the 100-meter world title, topping his own world record with a time of 9.58 seconds. Now he has another world record to add to his collection.
The field was a fast one, with four men breaking 19.9 seconds, but Bolt made the rest of the pack look like they were running in slow motion. Bolt grimaced down the home stretch, then looked at the clock as he crossed the finish line, breaking into a wide grin when he saw his time -- a time that will earn him a $100,000 world record bonus, just as he earned $100,000 for winning the 100 meters.
"I'm tired as hell now, but I got my work done, so I'm OK," Bolt said. "This is what we work for, me and my coach. We work for championships."
There's no question now that he's far and away the best track athlete in the world; the question now is simply what he can accomplish. The 100 in under 9.5? The 200 in under 19? Move on to dominate the 400 meters? Anything seems possible. Bolt will turn 23 on Friday. He's already track's biggest superstar, and he's showing no signs of slowing down. Here are the full 200-meter final results:
1. Usain Bolt 19.19
2. Alonso Edward 19.81
3. Wallace Spearmon 19.85
4. Shawn Crawford 19.89
5. Steve Mullings 19.98
6. Charles Clark 20.39
7. Ramil Guliyev 20.61
8. David Alerte 20.68

Now you're going to hear the haters talking about drug enhanced times.........it's all about good/clean Jamaican food and living (no damn hormones/steroids/chemical additives in the sweet meat we eat on the rock).........also try the Jamaican Trelawny yams...........
I beg to second your comment Garfield, JA has the best ground food no pasteurizing. Fresh from the ground.
How funny that's cute. The the green cheese the moon is made out off that they eat in thier diet helps too.You don't shatter world records eating yams that's funny.
they really need to test test test!!!!!
they really neeed to test test tse!!!!

E.P.L.N.M.D&J.
Makes us old turtles seem even slower. I guess I am getting old. I remember when it was a big deal that the 20 second bearier had been broken and the 10 second 100. At some point it all stops though. It has to. Can't have the 100 run in zero seconds so it will stop somewhere. But from an old 2 miler back in high school ( I went to school with Moses ) I love to see the records fall.
Yeah if they test test test hes gona be in trouble...but not for what you think. Me thinks the green herb of Jamaica make Usain insanely fast.
you probably have smoked it before too,did it make you run faster or more stuipd.
That Guy is freak!!!

Kudos to Usain Lightning Bolt, incredible, and yes, he has been tested, tested and tested, don't you think they would test him? And, I like the way he acts on the track, kidding around, would you like to go back to the in your face antics of the 90's? If Usain puts people in the seats and gets kids to run track, I'm all for him.
I'm with you, Garfield. Lots of ackee and caleloo and incredible physical talent. You go Usein!
It's funny Mac because Americans seem to need performance enhancing drugs to run like the Jamaicans. Consider this...the 10.73 ran by Jamaica's female sprint sensation, Fraser,...is actually the women's world record if you eliminate the questionable 10.49 record by Flo Jo who argued that the steroids found in her suddenly muscular body were from asthma mdication and the disgraced U.S. sprinter Marion who ran 10.70. So please don't bring the lame U.S. drug taking sports culture unto Jamaica's athletes who have been denied for too long from the top podium via U.S. drug cheating
how can you say that you dumb -uck
What a great performance!!! There's no bolt like a lightning bolt coming out of Jamaica. I love the way Usain plays around at the start & finish of his races, surely the former releases lots of stress? He can be a mentor to the youths of today, to show they don't have to use any type of enhancements
HAPPY BIRTHDAY USAIN!!! Continued blessings today and everyday.
Has Usain taken any drug tests lately?
