Kobe Bryant is on top of the world, enjoying one of his best years ever as an NBA player after his impressive haul of hardware -- the NBA championship, Finals MVP, co-MVP of this year's All-Star Game. And don't forget about the Olympic gold medal from last summer.

So how does he top it all off? By starting a new charity in China. In this FanHouse exclusive we catch up with Kobe at an awards ceremony as he was being honored by the Asia Society Southern California. We also hear from T-Mac and Tim Leiweke, the CEO of AEG, who was also honored on this night.

Many of them went down to Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, and some threw bottles at the LAPD. Kobe Bryant may be the best player in the NBA -- and some say the greatest of all time. Now that he's going for his fourth title, it's no surprise that hip-hop superstar Lil' Wayne dropped the hottest rap song of the year in honor of the Lakers star in a track titled, simply, Kobe Bryant.

In the past few years, NFL quarterback Matt Leinart has been in the spotlight for all kinds of reasons, but not always for his on-field play. In this exclusive video we find out what Matt does when there are no cameras around and why he is considered a hero to some Los Angeles inner-city kids. As it turns out, Leinart -- USC's former Heisman Trophy winner -- owns and operates his own youth football league. In it, 150 kids, who otherwise could not afford to participate in such activities, are provided with equipment, lunch and transportation at no cost. Beyond football, though, Miguel Perez -- who coaches in the Leinart league -- says being part of a sports team can positively change a child's life.
