Man, I was shocked by the news that they found Arturo Gatti dead. Only 37 years old. There weren't many boxers like him who gave 120% in the ring every time and made sure fans went home happy.
Do you have any memories of Gatti's legendary fights?
Was a awesome fighter. Went to many of his fights in AC. The Mickey Ward fights where some of the greatest fights ever. I was on a Flight from Newark to West Palm about 6 years ago, got bumped up to 1st class. we where 10 minutes late to leave and was told we where wating for a late customer, well that customer was Arturo and the his seat was next to me. Man what a thrill that was for me. RIP Arturo, you where one of the greastest. You will be missed.
I am heart-broken..shocked...sad..numb. He made people that werent boxing fans love the sport! We will never in our lives see another boxer with the amount of heart that he had. Such a terrible, tragic loss. You will forever be the champ....Rest in peace Arturo, you are loved by all of us!
I was sad to hear about Arturo Gatti. I don't know about his personal life but I can tell you that as far as boxing is concerned this guy was a class act that always gave his all in that ring! Even in defeat he showed great sportsmanship and always gave an honest interview. You will definitely be missed by your fans. I think that he is one of those special people that would have had a great following no matter what he would have tried after boxing. Thanks for the great memories CHAMP
