Such sad, sad news for the NFL and all of Steve McNair's fans -- he was as tough and tenacious as a quarterback could be.

Even though the Titans lost the game, his effort in the Super Bowl was just classic McNair, fighting down to the last second.

What are some of your best memories of McNair?

Needless to say, I share in the shock and the saddness felt by his fans. What a tragedy! My prayers go out to the families, especially the wife and children. McNair was a great player and we were thankful to have him on the Ravens for the last two years of his career. May he R.I.P.

First an Oiler and then a Titan. What else could a McNair fan ask for.
Our prayers are with his family. He'll be missed.

I knew the family of McNair and also was close to the family. This has shocked and saddened me to no end. I dropped to my knees when i heard the news. I wish i could be there for the family. Since I can not be there for the family i send my condolences to the family. I used to belong to Northeast Church in Hendersonville, TN. I will send a prayer chain out for his family and wife.

Why does this sort of thing happen so often in the NFL and NBA but not the NHL?
