JOHANNESBURG -South Africa's Olympic governing body has suspended Athletics South Africa in the fallout over Caster Semenya's gender tests.
The South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee said in a statement it was suspending the track organization immediately.
The action comes after Athletics South Africa's attorneys sent a letter saying the decision by the committee a day earlier to suspend the ASA president Leonard Chuene and board was "unreasonable" and "unfair."
The Olympic committee said the letter indicated ASA "will not respect (its) directives and/or resolutions."
Semenya won the 800-meters at the world championships at Berlin in August after the IAAF said it had ordered gender tests. Chuene later said he lied about his knowledge of the tests.

Even if her testosterone levels are the 3x normal for a woman that has been reported, that is still a fraction of a mans. Note that while she did run and win by approximately 2 sec at the Worlds, she DID NOT put up a new World Record....

u talk as if she is some kind of experiment or not human. nobody can help how they wee born. and maybe some one should have tested her a long time ago when she got interested in sports. look to me like none of this is her fault, she is only 18.

She can run with the men if her natural testosterone levels appear to be greater then the average woman. If her levels ever reach a point equal to or greater then the average male then you could look to possible doping and/or a brain tumor. She just might be the perfect vehicle to test possible strengthening agents with occulting properties.

It seems most people are missing the full scope of the details/facts? in the story. Caster Semenya is not the first hermaphrodite/chimera to be tested in the field of sports. That is why they already do the testing. Here’s the details.
A: The South African track body will not fire the track association's president for his lying. South Africa’s Athletics board member Chris Britz told The Associated Press that the group "unanimously expressed confidence in the current ASA leadership" and president Leonard Chuene during a meeting. Britz said not one person at the meeting proposed to fire Chuene..
A:Translation: They support his lying about runner Caster Semenya.
B: They are willing to put him in the position to do it again.
C: What you see here is another example of how far a country, a governing body and an individual will go to deceive others for illicit gains, tangible or intangible.
D: crooked people have penetrated all levels of societies infrastructure including governing and policing agencies.
E:THE GOVERNMENT AND THE COPS ARE NOT BAD. BUT MANY OF THE PEOPLE ARE! Fight to remove the dead wood and the leeches from the unions and workforces! And let the hard working people get something done!
