Manning practices on limited basis on Wednesday

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -Eli Manning is only taking the snaps his coaches think are most important to get him ready for the New York Giants' showdown with the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Manning's sore right heel did not get any worse playing less than a half in the Giants' blowout win over the Oakland Raiders. But coach Tom Coughlin is being cautious as New York prepares for a battle of undefeated teams in the Superdome, a few miles from the Uptown neighborhood where Manning grew up.
Coughlin said Manning would do a little more work in Thursday's practice and step it up again on Friday.
The Giants (5-0) are off to their best start since 1990. The Saints, the NFL's top scoring team, had a bye last weekend after winning their first four games.

Obama? This is a board about Eli Manning and football. If I told you my kid had a glass of milk and went to sleep for 8 hours, would you say "Tea will cost more because of Obama!" or "People used to sleep 10 hours under Bush!"

Obama? This is a board about Eli Manning and football. If I told you my kid had a glass of milk and went to sleep for 8 hours, would you say "Tea will cost more because of Obama!" or "People used to sleep 10 hours under Bush!"

he's a good, not great qb. you get enough horses around you and anybody can play qb. to be paid that kind of money to play a game is absolutely ridiculous. how much there coach get paid? he looks like he is having a stroke when a call goes against them. the next time he runs out on the field play during a game, i hope he gets buried.

all you haters kill me. i would like to see one, just one of you get up and do what these guys do every week. but you sit on your ass and put every one else down, if you dont like someone fine, but dont try to belittle what they have accomplished, a super bowl is some thing you will probaly never see much less play in

Hey Eli, why not take the week off, if you are playing the hopelessly bad Raiders. Get better for the next week. Vinny Testaverde could beat the Raiders this week....
