Ex-Phillie Von Hayes to manage Camden Riversharks

CAMDEN, N.J. -Former Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Von Hayes has been named manager of the minor league Camden Riversharks.

The Riversharks announced Monday that Hayes, a 12-year major league veteran, will manage the Atlantic League club in 2010.

Hayes hit .272 with 124 home runs for the Phillies from 1983 to 1991. In December 1982, the Phillies traded five players to Cleveland to acquire Hayes.

Hayes managed the Lancaster Barnstormers of the independent Atlantic League in 2008. He's also managed minor league teams in South Bend, Ind.; Modesto, Calif.; and Midland, Texas.
