NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 20) -- Text messages show a woman asked former NFL quarterback Steve McNair to transfer $2,000 into her bank account hours before police say she shot him to death, then turned the gun on herself.
Nashville police released the text messages Monday night as part of a case summary and detailed the exchanges between the two hours before the July 4 murder-suicide.

Sahel Kazemi texted McNair on July 3 to say she was so stressed she might have a breakdown and asked for money to pay cell phone bills. One text said she might need to go to a hospital because she could hardly breathe.
Police say texts show McNair had someone transfer the money. The texts also show Kazemi meeting McNair at the Nashville condominium where he was shot. He asked her to leave the front door open for him.
Spokesman Don Aaron said he has been working to summarize the case for weeks and denied it was a response to a two-part report on CBS' "The Early Show" questioning the original investigation.
"If anyone has information that needs to come to the attention of the police department, we'll be happy to receive it as part of this investigation," Aaron told The Associated Press. "But at this juncture, there has been nothing uncovered that suggests this is not a murder-suicide."
The CBS report Monday interviewed friends portraying Kazemi as happy and showed that she had approximately $2,500 in her bank account at the time of her death.
But the 50 text messages from the cell phones of both Kazemi and McNair released Monday night support the police's contention that she was spiraling out of control.
Via The Tennessean, below is the content of text message records police subpoenaed from McNair's cellphone carrier. The texts were reportedly received by McNair's phone on July 3.
Kazemi, 4:04 p.m.: Baby I have to be w u 2nite. I dnt care where

Kazemi, 4:16 p.m.Tell me u gonna be w me

Kazemi, 8:34 p.m.: baby where u gonna be at when I get off

McNair, 8:50 p.m.: I'm at home baby what time u get off

Kazemi, 8:51 p.m.: round 11

Kazemi, 9:10 p.m.: where u gonna be at baby

McNair, 9:15 p.m.: at home til the kids fall asleep

Kazemi, 9:18 p.m.: k ill call when I get off

Kazemi, 10:23 p.m.: do u wanna get out n drink

McNair, 10:35 p.m.: Probably not baby having trouble with the kids getting to sleep

Kazemi, 10:45 p.m.: k im going to the condo in a min

McNair, 10:59 p.m.: ok

Kazemi, 11:28 p.m.: they asleep babe

McNair, 11:34 p.m.: they are on the way

McNair, 12:38 a.m.: On my way

Kazemi, 12:38 a.m.: k

Kazemi, 12:48 a.m.: u want me to open the gate

McNair, 12:52 a.m. (sent twice): No open the front door

Kazemi, 1:14 a.m.: its open

Kazemi's texts to McNair talk of her showing furniture she planned to sell to some people and how she was at a store "trying to fix" her phone. She wanted to pay bills before going to work. When she said she could hardly breathe, McNair asked if she wanted him to come over. She said she would take a nap.
McNair texted her that afternoon, saying he had someone transfer the money.
Kazemi later texted McNair three times asking to be with him that night. He said he was having trouble getting his sons to sleep. But at that time, McNair was seen at a restaurant with friends. Kazemi texted she was going to his condo. He texted back at 12:38 a.m. that he was on his way and asked her to open the front door at 12:52 a.m. Kazemi told him at 1:14 a.m. it was open.
The last text was at 2:23 with Kazemi saying, "I am going to the store." But police say the message received by McNair's phone seemed oddly placed in the stream of messages and out of synch. A T-Mobile specialist told police it could be a service or technical problem that caused a delay in the delivery of the message.
The summary also details how police checked video footage from businesses in the area and found a law firm camera caught the backside of the condo where their bodies were found later July 4. The footage did not show any suspicious activity or departure in the early hours of that morning.
Police also list the shift manager at the restaurant where Kazemi worked who told officers something seemed to be bothering Kazemi on July 3. Sonya New said she asked Kazemi if everything was all right when the server told her of her DUI arrest on July 2. The manager also knew of Kazemi's roommate moving and asked about McNair's divorce.
"And she (Kazemi) just rolled her eyes. New said at the end of the conversation, Kazemi said, "My life is just (awful) and I should end it."
Business was slow that night when Kazemi asked if she could leave early. She clocked out at 10:07 p.m.
The summary also includes new information from the woman Kazemi followed from McNair's condo, suspicious that he was involved with someone else.
Police also say Leah Ignagni confirmed she was dating McNair and recalled seeing a woman in a black Cadillac Escalade parked outside his condo two or three weeks before his murder. Ignagni saw the woman follow her and later saw the Escalade circling her block or parked outside her apartment a week or two later. A 2007 black Escalade was co-registered both to Kazemi and McNair.
Ignagni told police McNair visited her around 4 a.m. on July 2 — a couple hours after Kazemi's arrest — to tell her "Jenni" had been arrested for DUI. McNair then spent the night of July 2 at Ignagni's apartment but left early July 3.
The report also includes details from the crime scene that blood stains showed Kazemi's upper body was in McNair's lap before sliding to the floor. Police also found the gun under Kazemi's head with an impression in the carpet the summary said indicates neither the gun nor Kazemi's body was moved before officers arrived.

Alot to be said for the quiet life,
a glass of wine and a faithful wife.
Warm sleeping babies and fire-side chats
would have brought you morning , and so that's
what you sacrificed for all those babies.
No Daddy, no husband, no ladies.

She didn't shoot him because he wouldn't leave his wife.
She shot him because he took on another girl.

Now if his WIFE had shot him because of KAZEMI, would you be saying she 'sure seemed to be an immature, mentally unstable girl who obviously didn't understand their "relationship". '
I think not. You'd be all up in her corner.
Wife UNDOUBTABLY Understands that their relationship is LEGAL (financial) NOT Serious/Emotional/Honorable.

Even Ignagni understands this.

Only clueless kid wuz Kazemi. So Why do we keep on raising them?

PJD120--If you can honestly say you don't know why this girl was involved with a married man, let me make it clear for you: Black Escalade, "please wire $2,500 into my bank account so I can pay my phone bill" (who has a $2,000 phone bill???), fully paid condo, and I am sure lots of other goodies. THAT is why women go with married men!! And then they "fall in love" with the guy and expect him to leave his wife, and his intention was not to leave his wife and family in the first place!! The "mistress" is just fun for them! Some extra-marital sex! They aren't going to leave their wives and children to be with the mistress!! And, this chick that McNair was involved with sure seemed to be an immature, mentally unstable girl who obviously didn't understand their "relationship". The sad thing is that she had to kill McNair over it. If she wanted to kill herself, so fine. But why are you going to kill him too? You knew he was married. You knew he was cheating on his wife, so that means that he was most likely cheating on you too because a leopard doesn't change their spots. Stupid little girls.

This is just a sad situation all the way arouond. The families of both victims have to continually hear all the sordid details of the situation. Both victims get drug through the mud. Children will grow up without a father. It's easy to blame the young woman here; but that's not really fair. She is, I'm fairly sure, much less worldly and sophistocated than Mr. McNair. She probably did believe that he would leave his wife for her. Older women have believed the same lie. She found out that he was seeing someone else and just couldn't handle ******** unfortunate that she chose murder-suicide to end it instead of walking away. What a waste of 2 lives.

For those of you whom have ever read a Bible.

PROVERBS: 3.16
Wisdom will save you from the immoral woman, from the seductive words of the promiscuous woman. 17. She has abandoned her husband and ignores the covenant she made before God. 18.Entering her house leads to death; it's the road to the grave. 19.The man who visits her is doomed. He will never reach the paths of his life. 20.Follow the steps of good men instead, and stay on the paths of the righteous. 21.For only the godly will live in the land, and hose with integrity will remain in it. 22.But the wicked will be removed from the land, and the treacherous will be uprooted.

I find it pathetic how his so called Christian friends and associates subliminally condone his actions and play down the severity of cheating on a Covenant made with God which is what you do when you get married.

I don't condone the killing of people but he sure did a good job of butchering his own FAMILY.
