gillespie needs to go back to high school basketball

Hi Go UK. We will return as a great team. We made a mistake in hiring Billy G. We will get through our troubles. We will find a good coach and have a good team next year.

Kentucky's top 3 program statis is over and done with, it will be sometime before they get good again and they will never put fear in any team anymore, those days are well past there time.But as far as Kentucky or NC, NEITHER of you will EVER accomplish what UCLA did in the years of The Wizard of Westwood, or, Mr. John Wooden to you. And with all the high school McDonald all americans NC gets year after year, why do they lose so much?? Take away Duke and the ACC is terrible and vastly over rated. Roy Williams is so over rated it makes me sick. I mean who couldn't be a winning coach at Kansas and NC???? Thats like Phil Jackson coaching Jordan and Kobe,,,how could you ever lose more than you win???? The absolute ONLY coach to win with whatever talent he had was John Wooden.

i guess uk is getting tired of being only the 3rd best team in their state.louisville and yes western ky have been far superior lately

Gillespie is wimp.... That says it all.

North Carolina also has about 70 more losses than UK. UNC has played more games than UK so your point about UK playing seven more years than UNC has no weigth. UK not only has the most wins, they also have the best winning percentage of any NCAA team. UK also has as many championships as UNC and Duke combined. However, I do agree that UNC is by far the better team now.

UNC has only been playing basketball for just less than 100 years and is only 5 wins behind KY which has played 7 years longer. UNC passed KY under Dean Smith, but lost the all time wins when Matt Doherty coached UNC for three rough years. Roy Williams came home and almost immediately won the national title in 2005 If all goes as expected UNC will pass KY early next year as the all time winingest program again. UNC is the cream of NCAA basketball not KY. Playing at UNC in the ACC is the very top of playing NCAA basketball. KY has a good program, but UNC is and always has been better, including the conference they play in the ACC.

Texas A&M beg Gillispie to stay at A&M and he said he would but when Donavan turn the Kentucky job down, he headed to Kentucky . Hey what goes around comes around.
