Harvard routs Columbia 34-14

NEW YORK -Gino Gordon rushed for two touchdowns and Collier Winters passed for another for Harvard, which scored the game's first 34 points en route to a 34-14 win over Columbia on Saturday.

Gordon finished with 63 yards rushing on 12 carries for the Crimson (6-2, 5-0 Ivy League), who held on to at least a tie atop the conference standings. They play Penn next week in a game that could decide the Ivy League champion.

Winters was 19-for-30 with 214 yards and two interceptions.

Winters' TD pass, a 12-yard connection to Kyle Juszczyk, and Gordon's 6-yard scoring scamper helped Harvard take a 21-0 lead after the opening quarter. Gordon's 3-yard TD rush in third put the Crimson up 31-0.

Patrick Long kicked field goals of 28 and 29 yards for Harvard.

Jerry Bell threw for 226 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for Columbia (2-6, 1-4).
