DENVER -Phillies left-hander Jamie Moyer is recovering at a Philadelphia hospital from a blood infection.
Moyer's wife, Karen, said in an e-mail to The Associated Press on Saturday that her 46-year-old husband is fine now after an infection following abdominal surgery.
Moyer was expected to stay another night at the hospital. He had surgery last week on tendons in his left groin and lower abdomen.
Moyer went 12-10 with a 4.94 ERA in 30 appearances this season.
The Phillies and Rockies are tied at one game each in their divisional playoff. Game 3 was postponed from Saturday to Sunday because of snow and cold.

Peole can get blood infections from blood transfusions. Bood transfusions aren't safe because whatever the illness the donor has, you can get. That can also be diabetes, the flu, colds, hepatitis, HIV, herpes, etc. Also when blood is about a year and a half old, it has to be thrown away even though it's in refrigeration. It starts smelling like feces as that's almost what it becomes. Feces in a person is mainly composed of dead red and white blood cells, plasma. Some people think it's food ******** not as it goes through digestion so it's not the same.
