ORLANDO, Fla. -The Los Angeles Lakers have won their 15th championship, beating the Orlando Magic 99-86 in Game 5 of the NBA finals.
Kobe Bryant scored 30 points Sunday night in winning his fourth title, the first without Shaquille O'Neal. It was the 10th championship for coach Phil Jackson, moving him past Boston's Red Auerbach for the most all-time.
The Lakers took control with a 16-0 run in the second quarter and rolled to their first title since 2002. Pau Gasol added 14 points and 15 rebounds for the Lakers.
Rashard Lewis scored 18 points for the Magic, who were in the finals for only the second time.

Their "loyal" Doped-up drunken fans put 5 cops in the hospital. Riots in the streets and looting would be par for the course for the "followers" of a team that has a sleazy creep at the leader.

Congratulations to Kobe, The Laker Team, and especially to their loyal fans. They all deserve to win and they took the criticism better than I or anyone could have expected. Hats off to Orlando for trying so hard. With a bounce here or there this series could have gone the distance. With a small attitude adjustment and a whole lot of luck, Orlando could see the Lakers again. It's not likely with Boston's Triple Threat healthy and Cleveland making moves. Draft well Lakers and Orlando and it could happen again next year. Well played series that was great entertainment. The NBA's stock is rising faster than any other league.

THANK GOD THE LAKERS WON AS THEY DID. I WONDER HOW MANY TIMES THE TURK (FROM TURKEY) STUCK HIS TONGUE OUT AND HOWARD ACTED LIKE A HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUT WITH HIS SILLY GRINS AS THE LAKERS WERE KICKING THEIR ASSES. WATCH THE CAVS/MAGICS GAMES. THE TURKEY KEPT STICKING HIS TONGUE OUT AFTER MAKING A SHOT. HOWARD SHOULD HAVE BEEN FOULED OUT OF EVERY GAME FOR PUSHING AND THROWING ELBOWS AT RANDOM. TALK ABOUT SOMEONE GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER.
AND THEN THERE WAS THE COACHING.......P U! STRICKLY CYO, YMCA, JUNIOR HIGH CALIBER. CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT A CLASSY CHAMPION WE WOULD HAVE HAD HAD THE MAGICS WON. THE CAVS GOT BULLIED AND THE REFS LET THE MAGICS GET AWAY WITH ALONG WITH TURKEY'S GREAT SPORTSMANSHIP. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY PLAYED AT THE CAVS. WHAT A TERRIFIC FINALS THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN HAD THE LAKERS AND CAVS PLAYED.

KOBE no longer holds the title of the most hated man in sports~that went to Michael Vick a while back. If the NFL allows him to EVER play again I will NEVER watch football again.
