HOUSTON (April 6) -- Mickey Rourke stepped into the ring after all. The actor, who played Randy "The Ram" Robinson in the hit movie 'The Wrestler,' told reporters before WrestleMania 25 that he wouldn't get involved in any matches. But when push came to shove, Rourke couldn't quite hold back.

After WWE superstar Chris Jericho won his 3-on-1 match against legends Ricky Steamboat, Jimmy Snuka and Roddy Piper on Sunday night, Jericho provoked the former boxer Rourke, who wound up making his way to the ring very slowly.
Rourke took his cowboy hat off and engaged in a short boxing match with Jericho before punching and knocking him down to gain a measure of revenge for the legends. Rourke then celebrated in the ring with "Nature Boy" Ric Flair to big cheers from the Reliant Stadium audience.
Jericho had bad-mouthed the legends and Rourke's character in "The Wrestler" on WWE TV shows and on "Larry King Live" in recent weeks.
The 56-year-old actor originally refused to take Jericho's bait, saying his agents told him it would be detrimental to his career. "I'm doing 'Iron Man 2' now, and the insurance company said under no circumstances could I get into the ring," he added.
In other WrestleMania 25 action, Triple H defeated Randy Orton in a singles match for the WWE Championship, Rey Mysterio defeated John "Bradshaw" Layfield for the Intercontinental Championship, and John Cena defeated Edge and The Big Show in a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Despite the apparent use of steroids as a dietery staple, if you watch these guys do what they do without killing each other, you can see the athletic ability. As for the tights, American football pants and baseball and basketball thru the seventies and eighties must have been a homo-erotic fest too?

Not only is wrestling not real, it is completely homoerotic. On what planet is it so masculine to wear all that spandex? I can't believe adults watch and enjoy this.

This thing was a fake the first day it showed up. Isn't nearly a week long enough for such a phony story?

But did you ever see Old Haystack move? For an old fat guy he was quick, I saw him pick up Dick the bruiser over his head and throw him over 4 rows of chairs and fans in 1960, you can't fake a throw like that, even Dick was surprised, that's what he get's for messing with his horseshoe and chain. Ah, the good old days.
