Entering the race, Johnson held a 184-point lead over second place Hendrick Motorsports teammate Mark Martin, nearly the equivalent of one full race.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://motorsports.fanhouse.com/2009/11/08/jimmie-johnson-wrecks-lap-3-at-texas-motor-speedway/">Jimmie Johnson Wrecks Lap 3 at Texas Motor Speedway</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://motorsports.fanhouse.com">Fanhouse Motorsports Blog</a> on Sun, 08 Nov 2009 15:39:00 EST . One, I've particularly taken to heart lately: "Don't hesitate to make significant changes in your ballot from week to week."<br /><br />And that's exactly what I did in this week's ballot, voting Alabama as my new No. 1. The Crimson Tide defeated LSU 24-15 Saturday, their fourth victory against a Top 25 ranked team this season.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://ncaafootball.fanhouse.com/2009/11/08/fanhouse-top-25-crimson-comeback/">FanHouse Top 25: Crimson Comeback</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://ncaafootball.fanhouse.com">Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog</a> on Sun, 08 Nov 2009 15:30:00 EST . <br />
Portis took a couple of hard shots on a running play, with Atlanta's <a href="http://nfl.fanhouse.com/players/chevis-jackson/8845" class="injectedLink">Chevis Jackson</a> and <a href="http://nfl.fanhouse.com/players/thomas-decoud/8875" class="injectedLink">Thomas DeCoud</a> each landing blows -- at least one of which appeared to be helmet-to-helmet. No penalty was called on the play.<br />
<br />
Portis stayed down on the field at the end of the play, then walked unsteadily to the sideline. He sat on the Redskins' sideline with a towel over his head while backup running back <a href="http://nfl.fanhouse.com/players/ladell-betts/5942" class="injectedLink">Ladell Betts</a> replaced him. Jason Campbell threw an interception on the next play that was returned by the <a href="http://nfl.fanhouse.com/team/atlanta-falcons" class="injectedLink">Falcons</a>' <a href="http://nfl.fanhouse.com/players/tye-hill/7764" class="injectedLink">Tye Hill</a> for a touchdown.<hr color="#eeeeee" align="center" width="90%" size="2" />

Kahl said it's too soon to say about that, but that a significant improvement in the targeted demographic means CBS accomplished its first goal. Houston coach Gary Kubiak told ESPN's Bob Holtzman that Moats will be his team's starting back when the Texans play in Indianapolis Sunday, <a href="http://twitter.com/Adam_Schefter/status/5515659712">according to Adam Schefter</a>.<br /> <br /> Kubiak also said that <a class="injectedLink" href="http://nfl.fanhouse.com/players/steve-slaton/8866">Steve Slaton</a>, who's had major issues with ball security this year, will share carries.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/11/07/ryan-moats-earns-texans-starting-job/">Ryan Moats Earns Texans' Starting Job</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://nfl.fanhouse.com">Fanhouse NFL Blog</a> on Sat, 07 Nov 2009 17:20:00 EST .
