Chris Wright led the Flyers with 19 points and also scored the last nine points for Dayton down the stretch.

In what is generally perceived as the Atlantic 10's staple showdown, Xavier was beginning to totally dominate the rivalry in nearly every way possible.

That all changes now, and the A-10 just got a lot more interesting.

Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments

National Food-ball League: Pigskin Recipes for All 32 Teams

by Hamilton Waldron
Nothing goes together like Sundays, football and food. So, inspired by the very essence of a pigskin itself, Food & Wine has come up with a recipe for every NFL team that is based on... yup, you guessed it. Pork.

Some of the 32 recipes are pretty straightforward in their representations of the NFL's teams. For instance, it only makes sense that the recipe for the Washington Redskins would be a lavishly prepared roasted pig (long live the Hogs). And Patriots fans can enjoy a creamy New England clam chowder that has corn and bacon in it.

But it turns out that one Texas team doesn't need Food & Wine's help. Thanks to quarterback Vince Young's recent business venture, Texans fans can just snatch up a pack of Vince's, uh, sausages and feast like a playoff berth depended on it. (H/T: Deadspin)

Seriously though, if you're looking to step your food game up this NFL season, this is definitely the place to start.

Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
