Brady QuinnThe Wildcast is NFL FanHouse's podcast formation. It's like the Wildcat, but better.

Matt Snyder and I got on the horn for this first edition of the (newly named) NFL Wildcast -- and believe me, did we have plenty to talk about. There are two undefeated teams in the NFL, the Vikings are surging and Brady Quinn is heavily involved in MVP chatter, so that shouldn't be a surprise.

All Quinn jokes aside, though, we do cover the spectacular Lions-Browns matchup and the rest of Week 11, debate who's on the hottest streak in the NFL right now (replete with cheesy segment music!) and discuss early MVP candidacies. Plus, Snyder gives angry Ravens fans a little flack in what will probably become a weekly ranting session. Take a listen after the jump.

I would argue that Tiger Woods is the most recognizable athlete on the planet. Sure, more people might know the name "Michael Jordan" or "Brett Favre" but I firmly believe that 90 percent of the world's population who get a chance to see Tiger immediately recognize him. (Does that make sense? No? Moving on...)

Anyway, he was introduced at halftime of the Stanford-Cal game Saturday (he's a Stanford alum), when Cal fans decided to boo him. Tiger appeared rattled at first (ostensibly looking around for Mr. Weekley) before recovering and claiming that the Cardinal would take care of business in the second half.

Devin Hester is a pretty fast dude. So it's always surprising when he gets caught while running, even with 11 people chasing him. Even more surprising: when he gets caught with his pants down.

Or, more specifically, when he gets chased down on the football field and gets "de-pants'd." Although, you could make the argument that the only way to stop Hester is by pulling his down his britches. (I would counter that argument by stating that the simplest way to keep Hester from doing anything dangerous is to let Jay Cutler throw to him.)

Dallas ClarkDallas Clark has somehow become the ultimate "hybrid" tight end -- he's really more of a wide receiver than anything else, what with his athleticism and everything.

He also has decent hands: Sunday against Baltimore, Clark made a one-handed touchdown grab that's absolutely silly. The announcers mention that Peyton Manning probably thought he overthrew Clark on this play, and that's almost certainly true.

Marv Albert and 50 Cent had a reported "interaction" backstage at Jimmy Kimmel Live that generated a ton of press -- obviously whenever two people like Marv and Fitty interact in a reportedly violent manner, it's gonna be news.

Turns out the the whole thing was entirely overblown. Marv and 50 never had any sort of violent interaction and, from what FanHouse has learned, and which the AP is now reporting, it was all a giant misunderstanding.

Bill Simmons, ESPN's most popular Twitter personality, once shunned the medium but now clocks in at well over 1,000,000 followers. But it looks like he'll be seeing significantly less Twitter action over the next two weeks: he's had his Tweeting privileges yanked by ESPN for some aggressive remarks he made to ESPN-affiliated radio station WEEI in Boston.

Well, kind of -- he's still apparently allowed to tweet about his book tour, which has only one stop remaining in Las Vegas for early December.

The FanHouse Podcast: Because bloggers are much sexier on the phone.

Jerry Rice needs no introduction, but I'll give him one anyway: the guy was a decent NFL wide receiver over his 21-year career, winning multiple Super Bowls and setting a few records en route to becoming the G.O.A.T.

So, when the kind folks at Gillette offered FanHouse the chance to speak with Rice, we jumped at the opportunity. We got his thoughts on the state of the 49ers and Raiders, and specifically their new rookie wideouts, Michael Crabtree and Darius Heyward-Bey.

Ole Miss Chancellor Dan Jones recently banned the school's fight song "From Dixie With Love" for the remainder of forever, because some students, alumni and fans refused to stop chanting "The South will rise again!" at the end of the song. Reaction from many of these people has been mixed.

The Ku Klux Klan has weighed in on the decision and their reaction is, well, predictable: they're holding a rally because they don't approve of the lack of racism free speech in Oxford, and it will take place before Saturday's game against LSU.

Brooke Hundley, having not spoken outside of Good Morning America since news of her affair with Steve Phillips went public, broke her "media silence" last night. On Facebook of all places.

The former ESPN employee apparently answered friend requests from multiple bloggers in an affirmative fashion and -- perhaps coincidentally -- shortly thereafter launched into a mini-tirade against the World Wide Leader for not returning the personal and work items from her cubicle in Bristol.

Brian Brohm Buffalo BillsBrian Brohm has left the Packers' practice squad and joined the Buffalo Bills active roster, in a move that seems pretty good for both Brohm and the Bills' organization.

According to the Journal-Sentinel in Milwaukee, the Packers attempted to retain Brohm (he was a second round pick two years ago) to the practice squad, but obviously the former Louisville quarterback preferred the notion of actually having a shot at playing with Buffalo when presented with equal contracts.

Josh CribbsOne could forgive Cleveland wide receiver/return man Josh Cribbs if he was upset with the Browns coaching staff for extending Monday night's game against Baltimore long enough to land him on a stretcher, despite the fact that the Browns were down 16 points with just seconds to play.

But Cribbs, according to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer by way of PFT, has a different account of the final play of the game: the decision to keep the ball alive was made by Brady Quinn (as opposed to head coach Eric Mangini).

Mike Shanahan has been contacted by the Buffalo Bills as a potential candidate to fill the tiny shoes of Dick Jauron, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter -- although the report indicates that Shanahan was not the only candidate contacted.

Among those additionally listed as possibilities are former NC State offensive coordinator and current CFL coach Marc Trestman, as well as Jim Haslett, who simply refuses to disappear from any coaching search, and Giants OC Kevin Gilbride. Schefter did indicate, however, that interim head coach Perry Fewell would be given an "every opportunity" to secure the full-time gig.

Josh Cribbs suffered a horrible injury (update: Cribbs was released from the hospital early Tuesday after undergoing tests which turned out negative; he may even play this Sunday, according to the Browns) in Monday night's loss to the Ravens. Now, you don't need to be an "expert" on the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE to understand that anytime you run a designed-out-of-desperation play when you're down by 16 points, you are risking the health of everybody involved in the play.

Dwayne Bowe Suspended Four GamesDwayne Bowe has been suspended four games by the NFL for violation of the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances, according to the Kansas City Star's Kent Babb.

The suspension was announced by NFL spokesperson Corry Rush and then confirmed by the Chiefs, although they have yet (and may not) comment further on the matter.

Last night on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart and one of his correspondents absolutely destroyed the New York media for the way in which they cover, well, everything. For instance, the Paris Hilton DUI ridiculousness. Or, alternately, the fact that Alex Rodriguez has a painting of himself as a centaur on his wall in his bedroom.

Because someone thought that was important enough to ask A-Rod ladyfriend Kate Hudson about it recently. And lest you laugh (I mean, you should laugh at the whole idea of the painting), SERIOUS journalism outlet US Weekly got neither confirmation nor denial from Hudson on this very important matter.
