A Case of the Mondays: Blowout City

This weekend's relentless pursuit of the college football blowout was a mad success. High scores were the norm, highlighted by woodshed moments out of Texas and Penn State. USC coach Pete Carroll even went the mercy route before halftime against pitiful Washington State. Of course blowout ethics became a discussion point and we're happy to talk about that, as well.

In other news, the first round of BCS rankings are out and fans of undefeated Penn State are getting that nervous feeling as they sit at No. 3 while Alabama has survived a few scares, yet sits at No. 2. Oh, the injustice! College football is nothing if not wailing about something, so we've got the forum if you've got the time.

We'll start things at 2 pm EST. Join us in this brief water cooler session; it's college football therapy on a Monday and you know you need it. Chat with us after the jump.

A Case of the Mondays: Here We Go Again

I'm on record as having mixed feelings about the constant tumult for the teams near the top of the rankings in the last season and a half of college football. There may just be a bridge too far and seeing a Texas team I have misgivings about at No. 1 this week certainly adds to the discomfort.

Whatever the case, it's happening again and we're all witness.

Luckily there's a kind of therapy in talking about it and not just revisiting the canned discourse of the talking heads. So say hello to our weekly therapy session/water cooler time that is A Case of the Mondays.

Please join us at 2 PM ET to talk about the week that was, discuss all these crazy coaching rumors and take a look at the coming insanity the following weekend. Chat application after the jump.

UPDATE: We'll also be talking about this little news item: Clemson rumored to have terminated coach Tommy Bowden earlier today.

A Case of the Mondays: Chat About Vanderbilt, Red River Rivalry, More

Welcome back to our weekly water cooler of sorts. In this Case of the Mondays we'll attempt a conversation about Vanderbilt and the extent of their legitimacy during their surprising start. Also, we'll wash our hands of last weekend and take a look at what's ahead -- Red River Rivalry, anyone?

Grab a Texas state fair corn dog -- ok, maybe one of those knockoffs in the freezer section of the grocery -- and join us for a live college football chat at 2 PM ET after the jump.

A Case of the Mondays: It's College Football 2007 All Over Again

It's deja vu all over again with highly ranked college football teams falling by the wayside. The upsets are fun but my initial instincts are "I don't like it". Whatever, we're here to talk about it with a brief chat this afternoon.

Other topics for your consideration: Alabama's revival (and Georgia's stinker), the insanity of GameDay's way-too-easy decision to go to Vanderbilt this weekend (who needs Jay Cutler?), and the upcoming sixth week of college football 2008.

It all begins at 2:30 Eastern and will last for about an hour, feel free to take a break from work (or study) and stop in, it's water cooler time among friends. Chat application after the jump.

A Case of the Mondays: Georgia Football on Our Mind

It's A Case of the Monday's time again this week at the College Football FanHouse. We're here to discuss week four, package it in a neat little bow, put it to bed and then look forward to week five of college football.

Like Ray Charles we've got Georgia on our mind, unlike USC and Oklahoma we haven't taken a bye, like Paula Deen we hope you'll come on in and join us.

The chat begins at 2 p.m. Eastern, and will end around 3 p.m. Chat application after the jump.
