LAS VEGAS -- Amir Sadollah entered his UFC 106 fight against Phil Baroni surrounded by many question marks: how would he recover from the controversial loss to Johny Hendricks? Could he outslug the slugger, Phil Baroni? And does he have what it takes to win a grueling fight in the UFC?

Well, Sadollah answered all those questions and more in his unanimous decision victory over Baroni, and when FanHouse caught up with him after the victory, his boss, UFC president Dana White, said he was very impressed with his performance. The video interview is below.

Amir Sadollah earned his first victory in the Octagon since winning Season 7 of The Ultimate Fighter at UFC 106 Saturday night in Las Vegas, defeating Phil Baroni by unanimous decision in a bloody mess of a fight.

It was a violent and action-packed first round, with Baroni and Sadollah going toe-to-toe for all five minutes. Baroni got the better of the early exchanges, but Sadollah came back in a big way and landed some hard punches and knees late in the round, badly cutting Baroni's face.

Phil Baroni Says UFC 106 Fight Against Amir Sadollah Is 'Do or Die'

LAS VEGAS -- The last time Phil Baroni fought inside the Octagon it was February 2005, and he will be the first to admit that there was a chance he would never get another UFC run again. But -- somewhat unexpectedly -- here he is almost five years and 14 fights later back in the MMA spotlight.

Baroni faces Amir Sadollah on Saturday night, and when FanHouse spoke to him at Wednesday UFC 106 media day, he seemed genuinely excited and humbled to get another chance to fight in the UFC. The full video interview is below.

Phil Baroni Plans on Knocking Out Amir Sadollah at UFC 106 in November

Phil Baroni will make his return to the Octagon at UFC 106 on Nov. 21 against Amir Sadollah. The official bout agreements have yet to be signed, but both fighters have verbally agreed to the fight. This will mark the first time Baroni competes in the UFC since his UFC 51 loss to Pete Sell in February 2005. It's a big fight for both men, as each needs a convincing victory to help get their respective careers back on track.

Baroni told FanHouse via e-mail on Wednesday that while he is happy to be fighting in the UFC again, he still feels like he has a lot to prove.

Anderson Silva Steals the Show With KO of Forrest Griffin at UFC 101

PHILADELPHIA -- Anderson Silva walked into UFC 101 surrounded by boos, a goat, and left bathed in adulation, the G.O.A.T., or at least something close.

Needing a highlight-reel worthy performance to quiet the sudden doubts emanating from two straight lackluster performances, Silva -- fighting for only the second time at 205 pounds -- toyed with former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin before putting him away with a stunning short right in just 3:23 of the first round.

UFC 101: Johny Hendricks TKOs Amir Sadollah in Quick Stoppage

After winning The Ultimate Fighter, Amir Sadollah had to wait more than a year to get back into the Octagon. He finally got that chance Saturday night at UFC 101, and he lasted just half a minute before losing a TKO to Johny Hendricks.

But it was a controversial TKO, as referee Dan Miragliotta pulled Hendricks of Sadollah even though Sadollah appeared to be intelligently defending himself.

BJ Penn, Kenny Florian Ready for UFC 101 Fight After Making Weight

PHILADELPHIA -- Forty-five minutes before the UFC 101 weigh-ins were scheduled to begin, BJ Penn stuck his head out from behind the curtain that separates fighters from fans. Penn looked around, and fans sitting in the arena listening to a Dana White question-and-answer session slowly began noticing him. Instead of backing away and escaping to the quiet, he walked into section 116 of the Wachovia Center and began posing for photos with fans.
