Chris Horodecki has finally found a home. The former IFL star, who was once considered a top-10 lightweight fighter, has recently seen his career stall a little bit due to injuries and free agency. But the 22-year-old recently signed a multi-fight deal with World Extreme Cagefighting and will make his WEC debut on Dec. 19 against Anthony Njokuani.

FanHouse caught up "The Polish Hammer" at the TapouT Training Center in Las Vegas last week to talk about getting his career back on track and the decision to sign with WEC. Check out the video interview below.

A pair of bouts between lightweight contenders have been announced as co-headliners for the final WEC event of the year, WEC 45 on Dec. 19 at the Pearl in Las Vegas.

Donald Cerrone, coming off an interim title loss to Ben Henderson earlier this month, will take on Ed Ratcliff, while former IFL standout Chris Horodecki will make his WEC debut against Anthony Njokuani.

Coming off a flying knee TKO win at a local XFO show last Saturday, WEC lightweight Bart Palaszewski will be back with the promotion at WEC 45 targeted for Dec. 19, FanHouse has learned.

Anthony Njokuani was born in Nigeria in 1980, but all he knows about it is what his parents told him: That both his mom and his dad lost relatives in civil war, and that although they hated to leave their country, they moved to the United States in 1983 because they wanted to give their children a better life.

"My parents loved Nigeria," Njokuani says. "But they had to leave because of the war. My mom and dad both lost brothers and sisters."

And so at age 3, Njokuani, his parents and his siblings moved to Dallas. Now a professional mixed martial artist who will fight Muhsin Corbbrey in Saturday's World Extreme Cagefighting event in San Antonio, Njokuani says it was the upbringing he had in Texas that turned him into a fighter.

The non-televised undercard of Sunday night's World Extreme Cagefighting show is drawing to a close, and those of us here at the UIC Pavilion have seen a lot of talented bantamweights and featherweights.
