North Carolinians Voted For Obama So Ashley Judd Would Show Up to UNC-Kentucky

When actress Ashley Judd went stumping for Barack Obama during the Presidential campaign, she promised the students at UNC-Chapel Hill that she would show up for the Kentucky-North Carolina game if the state went for Obama.

As we all know, Obama won North Carolina's 15 electoral votes. It was the first time the state went for a Democratic Presidential candidate since 1976.

So Judd, the most famous Kentucky fan in the world, made the trek back to Chapel Hill for Tuesday's meeting between the Tar Heels and Wildcats. She sat among the UNC student section with her Kentucky shirt on and wildly supporting the underdog Wildcats.

That was a point of interest for many Kentucky fans who wondered if she would sport Carolina blue as part of her promise.

Dario Franchitti Fights Crime Without Pants

If you're a weirdo looking for Ashley Judd inside her own home, make sure there isn't a Scottish guy sitting at her table in his boxers.

And make sure his name isn't Dario Franchitti.

The 2007 Indianapolis 500 winner-turned-NASCAR-driver apparently isn't a fan of random people walking into the home that he and wifey Judd share in Nashville, Tennessee. So much so that he will jump into his car with nothing but those boxers and a white t-shirt on and chase people until the police find them.

That's at least how Dario told the story Monday night to reporters over a dinner after NASCAR testing at Daytona International Speedway. From ESPN's Terry Blount:
"I was just sitting in the kitchen, eating a bowl of cereal in my boxer shorts," Franchitti said. "I looked up and some guy is standing in front of me. He just walked in the house.

"I really don't think I was the one he was looking for, but the guy quickly turned around and ran out of the house. He got in his car and sped off. So what did I do? I got in my car and chased him."

But Franchitti forgot one important thing in his quest to catch the intruder.

Greatest Spectacle in Racing Won by True Gentleman

On Sunday, actress and activist Ashley Judd added a new role to her long list of credits: wife of Indianapolis 500 winner.

Judd's husband, Dario Franchitti, became the 66th winner of the Indianapolis 500 in a rain-soaked event that boiled down to pit strategy, giving him an advantage over Penske, Target Ghip Ganassi and other drivers in the field.

The Scot's spousal cheerleader, who credits him for helping her overcome depression, was overwhelmed with pride and joy following the win:
"I'd like to point out that my husband went from 14th to first like a gentleman and that's exactly what he is - a gentleman ... He raced like a gentleman, picked 'em off one by one, and won in style."
Indeed he did. And she totally "gets" it.
