Bobby Lashley in Talks With Strikeforce

Bobby Lashley, the former WWE champion turned MMA fighter, is currently in talks with Strikeforce to compete for the San Jose-based organization, FanHouse has learned.

The MMA rookie hasn't fought since his June 27 victory over Bob Sapp on the Prize Fight Promotions "Ultimate Chaos" pay-per-view, and still has two fights left on his contract with that organization. However, talks have heated up over the last few weeks with Strikeforce about Lashley making his debut on the Nov. 7 CBS show, headlined by Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers. As of Thursday morning, though, no deal has been signed.

Lisa Marie Varon, Former WWE Diva, Ready to Become 'Next Brock Lesnar'

Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley have already proven that pro wrestlers, or at least a select few, can hang in mixed martial arts. Now Lisa Marie Varon, known as "Victoria" during her nine-year run in World Wrestling Entertainment, is poised to prove that WWE Divas can compete with the best female mixed martial artists as well.

Varon, who currently works for Total Nonstop Action wrestling as "Tara," recently announced her intention to make her MMA debut in the near future. And while she has not set a date, the 38-year-old told FanHouse that she would love to fight before the end of the year.

MMA Twitter Mailbag: What's Next for Fedor Emelianenko?

It was a wild day in MMA, with the shocking news that Fedor Emelianenko won't fight on August 1 after all, and that the UFC and Affliction have joined forces. So there's a lot to get to in our latest MMA twitter mailbag, where we address what's next for Fedor, whether he wants to test himself against the best opponents in the world, or whether Fedor is simply such an amazing physical specimen that no human being can defeat him.

The mailbag begins below.

MMA Twitter Mailbag on Josh Barnett, Fedor Emelianenko, Affliction 3

Our latest MMA twitter mailbag is, of course, heavy on questions about Josh Barnett, whose positive drug test has caused his fight with Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction Trilogy to be called off.

Lashley, Rogers, Belfort and Arona Possible Barnett Replacements

Affliction is scrambling to find a new opponent to face Fedor Emelianenko on August 1. Here's the latest based on discussions with several sources.

The organization is looking at four potential opponents right now: Vitor Belfort, Bobby Lashley, Brett Rogers and Ricardo Arona. They believe one of those fighters will take the fight on short notice.

Tom Atencio: Josh Barnett Out vs. Fedor Emelianenko, Card Still On

Tom Atencio, the head of the Affliction MMA promotion, confirmed to FanHouse on Wednesday morning that Josh Barnett has been pulled out of his scheduled August 1 heavyweight title fight with Fedor Emelianenko. But Atencio said he still expects the Affliction Trilogy card to take place as scheduled.

Lashley Set for September Return

Following his first-round TKO victory over Bob Sapp Saturday night, Bobby Lashley said he would like to fight two more times this year. He wasn't kidding.

FanHouse has learned that the now 4-0 MMA rookie has agreed to fight again for Prize Fight MMA, one of the promoters of last night's "Ultimate Chaos" event, in September. No official date, location or opponent has been agreed upon, but September 26 appears to be likely.

Ultimate Chaos: Bobby Lashley Destroys Bob Sapp

Ultimate Chaos, a strange MMA event built around the massive main event of Bobby Lashley vs. Bob Sapp, turned out to be a fairly dull show that culminated with Lashley destroying Sapp with an easy first-round TKO.

Lashley, the former WWE star, and Sapp, the former Japanese kickboxing star, made for something of a freak show, and neither fighter looked particularly impressive. But Lashley was certainly the better fighter in the cage Saturday night.

Bobby Lashley vs. Bob Sapp Live Blog: Ultimate Chaos Results, Updates

Welcome to the FanHouse live blog for Saturday night's Ultimate Chaos MMA event, where we'll have live round-by-round updates for the whole pay-per-view show, headlined by a main event of Bobby Lashley vs. Bob Sapp.

Undercard fights will include Pedro Rizzo taking on Gilbert Yvel, and Affliction boss Tom Atencio taking some time off from promoting to step into the cage himself, taking on Randy Hedderick.

I'll be tweeting the results for those who follow me on Twitter.

The Ultimate Chaos show begins at 9 PM ET, and the live blog begins below.
