After starting the season 3-0, including impressive victories at Houston and against New England, the Jets have fallen flat on their collective faces. With a home loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday -- a team that was previously 1-3 on the road -- the Jets have now lost four of their last five games. They've also lost their last three games at home, against the Bills, Dolphins and Jags.
Sunday, the Jets' problems emanated from losing the turnover battle (3-to-1), and their inability to stop Maurice Jones-Drew. MJD gained 123 yards on 24 carries and also threw in 22 receiving yards for good measure.

Matt Snyder revealed a few backs that he's giving up on in a Monday afternoon column, and I'm here to identify a few big names that have me throwing in the towel.
Patience is often rewarded in fantasy football, yet you must avoid being patient to a fault. If you take too long to wave goodbye to a slumping player, you'll be left standing in a hole too big to climb from. Who am I dropping this week?
Early on the morning of Oct. 5, Edwards was allegedly involved in a disagreement with Edward Givens, a Cleveland-area promoter. According to Givens, Edwards punched him in the face because "Braylon has a problem with LeBron [James]" and Givens is James' friend.
The Plain Dealer also reported that the Browns contacted the FBI following the incident because of alleged threats being made to Edwards.
Whether it's torn, sprained, broken or just needs to be taped, Injuries to Watch will keep you up to date on injuries around the NFL and how they'll affect your fantasy football team.
Quarterback
• Aaron Rodgers, Packers - Rodgers participated fully in practice on Wednesday and said that his foot injury isn't a big deal. He'll play on Sunday.
• Derek Anderson, Browns - Anderson participated in full on Wednesday at practice and his ankle injury will not keep him from playing on Sunday.
• Trent Edwards, Bills - Edwards missed practice on Wednesday due to a concussion. He hasn't been ruled out for Sunday's game yet, but likely will be soon.
Each Monday of the fantasy football season, we'll cut through the fantasy numbers put up by individuals and tell you what they really mean.
The Baltimore Ravens are known as a black-and-blue, smash-mouth, old-school, ball control football team. After all, they won a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer at the helm. They had Jamal Lewis as the punishing bruiser for years. Things are a bit different now, to say the least. The Ravens have now attempted 227 passes and 154 runs this season. They have gained more than twice as many yards and first downs through the air. Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron loves to throw the ball in a variety of different ways. Joe Flacco is becoming a Pro Bowl-caliber quarterback. Do the math: the Ravens are a passing team.
Braylon Edwards' stay in Cleveland came to an unceremonious end -- he was accused of assaulting someone outside a local night club, then traded to the Jets two days later.
The alleged assault incident's been somewhat brushed aside to this point, but it may have been more serious than it sounded initially. According to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, the team contacted the FBI because of fears about Edwards' safety.
"They were concerned regarding that incident," FBI Special Agent Scott Wilson said. "We had some conversations with the Browns about possible threats."

If there were any lingering doubts that Braylon Edwards might have given something less than 100 percent during his final season (or two) in Cleveland, his Monday night performance with his new team removed all doubt.
Traded to the Jets earlier in the week, Edwards caught five passes for 64 yards, including a touchdown (as well as another reception down to the Dolphins' 1-yard line). And the guy known for hands of stone in recent years caught everything thrown in his direction. Weird.
Long-suffering Browns fans were unimpressed with Edwards' sudden resurgence and they let the former third-overall pick know about it via Twitter. Which prompted this response from Braylon.
You might be surprised by the name at the top of the rankings this week. After all, he's gained just 227 yards this season and scored only one touchdown. But playing against the rag-tag Tennessee secondary, Wes Welker should have a field day. I wouldn't be surprised to see him with double-digit catches and a couple TDs, especially if Randy Moss continues to struggle. After all, Welker already has 41 targets in just three games played.

Thanks to Michael Rand over at the Minneapolis Star-Tribune via the Florida Times-Union, we now know why Mike Sims-Walker mysteriously no-showed for last week's blunder of a football game in Seattle. Apparently, Sims-Walker "missed his bed check," while cavorting with a female friend.
