The beauty of fantasy football is that this late in the season, there are always people of relative importance popping up. Sometimes it's because they took a while to develop, and sometimes they emerge because of early season injuries that turned them into cast offs and pariahs. Yet, here you are, still desperate after all these weeks. Go ahead, don't be shy. You can admit you're at least intrigued by Cadillac.

Yes, that's right. The old car that your grandmother drives is suddenly relevant again. Why? Because he's coming off the PUP soon and Jon Gruden has shown little to absolute zero care about how he manages his roster in the name of winning. (What? Don't believe me? How about starting Brian Griese and putting Earnest Graham in at fullback?) And yeah, Caddy has talent. He's hurt, sure, but, hey, so is Ryan Torian. Sigh. Not your top priority, but certainly worth a claim.

Deion Branch, WR, SEA
Just like this guy. Branch hasn't garnered much attention this year because he hasn't done anything other than pretend he might come back. But he will be back in Week 11, presumably, and that's why you want to grab him now -- if you're hurting at WR and Matt Hasselbeck happens to make it back about the same time, suddenly you're staring at a poor man's Billy Volek - Drew Bennett combo.

This week, I asked George Billingsley Jr. (aka Crunkbuc4d1) writer and moderator from The Captain's Deck website to give some thoughts on the upcoming Bucs-Texans game, and I did the same for him. Here's our conversation:

What might casual NFL fans not know about the Bucs as of Week 14?

They are resilient. You always hear these so called NFL analysts praise the Colts for their ability to have success despite missing a few injured players. What do they think the Bucs have done? The Buccaneers have been playing shorthanded since before the season began. Do they remember who Mike Alstott is? How about Carnell Williams, Luke Petitgout, or even Chris Simms? This past Sunday in New Orleans, they started their third string quarterback and he was handing the ball off to the original third string running back.

Welcome to another successful installment of Five Questions with an Enemy Blogger, where each week, via email, I will be exchanging hot questions and [sometimes] answers with a rival blogger about their team and the upcoming matchup.

This week I sat down with Jamie Kiefer of Atop the Crow's Nest, a Most Valuable Network column that covers the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dan Benton: "Although he was a little shaky last week, Jeff Garcia has played very good football this year. Has he been everything Bucs fans had hoped for, or do they still miss Chris Simms?"

Jamie Kiefer: "Jeff Garcia has been basically everything the Bucs fans had hoped for. You can't go wrong with a guy who had zero interceptions in the first seven weeks of the season. Chris Simms appeared to be the franchise quarterback, but due to a shaky beginning of the season last year, and his injury, he hasn't really had the chance to prove himself. I feel bad for him with all that he's been through, but I can't ignore what Garcia has done for the Bucs. The first seven weeks he had a passer rating over 100. If Garcia sticks around for the next few years, Chris Simms will be a distant memory."

One of my favorite weekly articles is done by the good people at the Auburn Athletic Department. Each week they provide an update on how former Auburn Alumni are doing in the NFL. Currently, the Tigers have 31 players under NFL contracts. Some of them you have probably forgotten about. How many of you remember kicker, Rob Bironas? The Goshen, Kentucky native lettered in 1998 and now kicks for the Tennessee Titans. Sunday, he connected on a 22 yard attempt.

As for more familiar names, Carlos Rogers had a career high 8 tackles and one pass deflection in the Redskins 31-15 win over Houston. Ronnie Brown nearly topped the 100 yard mark, rushing for 90 yards in a 13-10 win over Tennessee. In addition to Bironas, the Titans also have former tight-end Cooper Wallace on the practice squad.

Carnell Williams continues to struggle in his sophomore season, rushing for only 48 yards in Sunday's 26-24 loss to Carolina. However, he did come away with a touchdown run.
