Former Suns High Fliers to Judge 2009 Slam Dunk Contest

Today the NBA announced the judges for the 2009 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Since All-Star weekend is in Phoenix this season, the league decided to select a panel of former Suns to judge the contest. The judges are Cedric Ceballos, Larry Nance, Kevin Johnson, Dan Majerle, and Tom Chambers. Of course, all of them were known for their dunking ability at some point during their career. Ceballos and Nance are both former Slam Dunk Contest champions, while KJ, Majerle and Chambers served up a few facials in their day.

So which of this year's judges was the best dunker? Watch some videos of all the judges throwing it down after the jump.

Cedric Ceballos Arrested Monday

Cedric Ceballos, who currently provides the on court announcing for Phoenix Suns games, was arrested by the Los Angeles County sheriff's department for driving with a suspended license. I'm going to take a small leap of faith and assume that Ceballos is a resident of California (otherwise this would be really messed up).
Blythe police booked Ceballos, 39, into Riverside County Jail on a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department warrant for driving on a suspended license, police said.

Ceballos, also a disc jockey for a Nevada radio station, was released the same day on nearly $26,000 bail, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Police said the gas station clerk called officers when he tried to use an invalid credit card to pay for gas.

Wait. The guy's card got declined and the clerk called the cops? Who didn't already have an outstanding warrant on Ceballos for the suspended drivers' license? Or they did, but just hadn't been able to find the guy? Even though he's on the court for every Phoenix Suns home game ... Apparently there is a hearing set for March 18, so maybe we'll find out more about it, but this is odd. And if he's so broke, where did he come up with $3,000 (presumably a rough estimate for the bond)? This whole series of events is going to drive me nuts all day.
