I should have known I couldn't stay away for long before having to weigh in on another batch of controversial calls. The power of the Zebra Report lives on. Dwight Freeney discussed things with Michael Silver of Yahoo! -- or, not really discussed, more like vented -- as the two walked towards the Colts' team bus following the game. "Those were the worst [expletive] calls I've seen in a long time," he said. "To have a game of that magnitude taken out of your hands, it's just disgusting. It's not like they made one [expletive] bad call – it's three calls, in overtime. On one the ball's 50 feet over [Chambers'] head. And they have the nerve to call defensive holding? When they can't even call one friggin' offensive holding the whole game? What's going on? They need to start investigating some other [expletive]."I would make a tell me how you really feel, Dwight comment here, but he has every right to be upset considering the Colts went 12-4 and lost in the first round of the playoffs. I'd be a bit incensed, too.

LaDainian Tomlison on the sidelines with his helmet on. That was the image of the AFC Championship game last year, when the Patriots took out the Chargers 21-12. Tomlinson had two carries for five yards before leaving the game with a knee and being reduced to nothing more than a sideline fan. "If we were playing today he probably wouldn't play," coach Norv Turner said about Gates, the Pro Bowl tight end.
And L.T.? "Yeah, I think he would," the coach said.
"Both of them are a lot better than they have been," Turner said. "It really will be a Saturday decision, how they feel. We'll get them out there and run around and see how they feel. I'm optimistic about both of them."
It goes without saying that the Chargers will need all their offensive stars to overtake a team that won more games in November and December than San Diego did all season. The Colts have been rolling of late, and missing your top running back and second leading receiver isn't exactly optimal conditions when the MVP comes to town.
Even if LaDainian plays, Gates not being around hurts Philip Rivers and company. Vincent Jackson, Chris Chambers, I hope you guys have been paying attention in film class this week. The San Diego faithful might have to count on you if the Chargers are trying to mount a comeback at the end of the game.

Anquan Boldin - After a well-timed bye week affording Boldin an extra week to rest his dome, he is expected to play on Sunday. Boldin allegedly lost about ten pounds though after having his jaw wired shut and slurping his food for two weeks. I'm in this predicament myself and plan to start him, but it's not an easy decision. If you have other quality options, it is probably worth waiting to see what he does this weekend.
The Baltimore Ravens
Derrick Mason - Unfortunately for Mason owners, who saw his value tick up after his six catch, 86 yard, one touchdown game last week, he was unable to practice this week with an undisclosed illness. Mason is not reliable enough to risk starting unless the illness dissipates completely.
The Carolina Panthers
D.J. Hackett - While I doubt too many people are reeling over Hackett's day-to-day status, he looks to be practicing lightly and should be available to play.
The Chicago Bears
Brandon Lloyd - Brandon Lloyd continues to nurse a sprained knee, so hopefully this week's bye should be the final stage in the waiting game. After a hot start to the season, owners are eagerly anticipating his return, but who knows what kind of shape he will be in upon returning.
