Fantasy Football Cut-N-Go: Tiff Between Johnson and Stafford Overblown

Calvin JohnsonCut-N-Go is Fantasy Football FanHouse's weekday roundup of the NFL news with fantasy football impact.

That last thing that anyone wants in Detroit, or in the fantasy football world if you own either of these players, is for Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson to have problems getting along. Unfortunately, cameras caught the two young stars in heated debate on the sideline on Sunday as the Lions were losing to Seattle. At least, one side of the argument was heated, Tom Kowalski of Michigan Live says that Johnson was flat-out ignoring what Stafford had to say.

Fantasy Football Cut-N-Go: Willis McGahee Wants More Touches

Cut-N-Go is Fantasy Football FanHouse's weekday roundup of the NFL news with fantasy football impact.

At the end of Week 3 Willis McGahee had rushed for 190 yards and five touchdowns. Even now as Week 5 only has one Monday Night Football game left before it's closed out, McGahee leads the NFL with seven touchdowns. The problem for fantasy football owners is for the last two weeks, McGahee has played no part in the offense.

If you combine Week 4 and Week 5 McGahee has rushed the ball only six times for a total of nine yards. He's only made two receptions for 17 yards and a touchdown over that two-week span as well. After starting the season so well, Edward Lee of the Baltimore Sun says that McGahee is confused about his lack of playing time lately.

Fantasy Football Cut-N-Go: Browns Still Haven't Named Starting Quarterback

Derek Anderson Brady QuinnCut-N-Go is Fantasy Football FanHouse's daily gathering of links from around the web, covering the goings-on in NFL Training Camp which have an impact on fantasy value.

This is going to come as no surprise to anyone who follows Cleveland Browns football, but head coach Eric Mangini is no closer to selecting his starting quarterback today then when training camp opened approximately three weeks ago.

Both Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson have started one preseason game. Neither have been terribly impressive. Anderson has thrown for 130 yards on 8-out-of-15 attempts with two interceptions and zero touchdown throws. Quinn is 10-for-16 for 97 yards with one interception and zero touchdown passes. If you add their preseason quarterback ratings together you get 96.5, 43.1 for Anderson and 53.4 for Quinn.
