Dan Henderson: Brock Lesnar Will Be Unstoppable, Didn't Earn Title Shot

Brock Lesnar will fight Frank Mir in the main event at UFC 100 in a contest that could establish Lesnar as not only the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion but also the undisputed biggest star in UFC history. But one longtime MMA star, Dan Henderson, thinks Lesnar has been pushed to the forefront too quickly.

Henderson, who is preparing to fight Michael Bisping on the UFC 100 undercard, said Friday on ESPN's Jim Rome Is Burning that he thinks the UFC gave Lesnar a shot at the heavyweight title too quickly last year, when Lesnar had just a 2-1 MMA record.

UFC 100: Michael Bisping, Dan Henderson Say They're Cool

For the UFC, there are two benefits to its Ultimate Fighter reality show. One is the ability to develop young, up-and-coming stars, and the other is the ability to promote a pay-per-view fight between the coaches of the two teams on the show. That second part was on display during Wednesday night's episode, when Team USA coach Dan Henderson hyped up his fight with Team UK coach Michael Bisping by calling Bisping "a douche bag."

But Henderson said today that he actually feels no animosity at all toward Bisping, and Bisping responded in kind.

MMA Top 10 Light Heavyweights: What's Next for Rich Franklin?

After his victory over Wanderlei Silva at UFC 99, Rich Franklin is now on my list of the Top 10 light heavyweights in mixed martial arts -- and Silva is off it. But what's next for Franklin? I'd love to see him get a Top 10 opponent, but most of the rest of the Top 10 are already committed to other fights: Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. Rashad Evans, Forrest Griffin vs. Anderson Silva, Keith Jardine vs. Thiago Silva.

I think the best option is to match up Franklin with Luiz Cane, and I think a dark horse possibility is Franklin vs. Tito Ortiz, if Ortiz returns to the Octagon. In any event, my list of the top 10 light heavyweights in MMA is below.

UFC 99 Breakdown: Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva

Rich Franklin and Wanderlei Silva are two fighters going in different directions; the former on his way up to the 205-pound weight class, the latter moving down to 185.

So in the transition, the UFC decided to pair off the duo in an intriguing matchup between a former UFC champ and former PRIDE champ at UFC 99. And while there appears to be little at stake aside from a won or loss on their records, there is likely more to it than that.

So what exactly will it determine and how will the matchup go down? Let's take a look.

MMA Top 10 Middleweights a Fine Mess

The middleweight division in mixed martial arts is a mess. The undisputed best middleweight in the world, Anderson Silva, looks bored with the middleweight division in the UFC, and he's moving up to fight Forrest Griffin at light heavyweight, at least for the time being. The UFC 99 main event of Wanderlei Silva vs. Rich Franklin features one star (Silva) moving down from light heavyweight to middleweight because he wants a shot at Anderson Silva's belt, and another star (Franklin) moving up from middleweight to light heavyweight because he knows he'll never get another shot at Anderson Silva's belt.

And that's just for starters.

Rich Franklin Prepares for Wanderlei Silva, but Sets Sights On 205 Division

Former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin has lately been a self-described "Ronin," competing all over the globe and at different weight classes as he searches out the best possible fights.

On June 13, he'll take on Brazilian slugger Wanderlei Silva in the main event of UFC 99.

Prior to leaving for Cologne, Germany, Franklin took some time to talk to FanHouse about his remaining career goals, training with former foe Anderson Silva, why he'll go to his grave believing he won the Dan Henderson fight, and more.

Who Might Beat Lyoto Machida in the UFC? I Like Shogun Rua

Now that Lyoto Machida has won the UFC light heavyweight title, there's a growing sense that we're headed into -- in the words of Joe Rogan -- a Machida Era: A time when Machida simply dominates the light heavyweight division and defends the belt several times in a row.

But as great as Machida is, everyone can be beaten. So which fighters would have a chance of beating Machida at 205 pounds? My list is below.

After UFC 97 Win, Krzysztof Soszynski Ready Again for UFC 98

Most MMA fighters like to take a few months off in between fights, but Krzysztof Soszynski is not like most MMA fighters.

Soszynski, who beat Brian Stann at UFC 97 on April 18, is getting ready to return to the Octagon to fight Andre Gusmao at UFC 98 on May 23. In an interview with FanHouse, Soszynski said he'll be ready to fight -- and that he's just happy to get to fight in the UFC. The full interview is below.
