FSU Safety Darius McClure's Career Over After Celebration

More often than not, you'll find college celebrations getting flagged in an attempt to make sure sportsmanship is maintained and hormonally charged 20-year olds playing a violent, visceral sports act like they're not excited to be doing whatever it is they're doing. But in an unfortunate situation such as Florida State's Darius McClure, it might be for their own good.

Personally, the last time I played pick-up basketball, I sprained my knee pretty badly, to the point where I vomited on the court. Since then, I've preferred sports that are a little more low to the ground, which is why I don't really understand the whole "jump and bump sides" celebration. It just doesn't look badass, and it all but assures a chance you'll land awkwardly, which is exactly what happened to McClure after his first -- and last -- interception against Boston College. And now, his MCL and college football career are no more.

Shame really, but maybe this will inspire safer alternatives like "House Party"-style choreography or just really complicated handshakes.

Worse yet, due to the possible absence of literal Rhodes Scholar Myron Rolle, Florida State finds themselves possibly even thinner in the secondary than they already were with freshmen getting significant time.
