A month ago, Percy Harvin was the main attraction at Florida's Pro Day. NFL Network's Mike Mayock was in attendance, came away impressed, and the early word was that Harvin had wrapped up his first-round-draft position. Now it was just a matter of how high he might go.
In the weeks that followed, Harvin has endured questions about his intelligence, as well as the ubiquitous (and still unsubstantiated) character concerns. Now, with the draft 11 days away, Harvin's draft stock is slipping -- that's the perception, anyway.
Because the NFL season never ends, we present our 2009 Offseason Roadmaps for front offices to navigate through the summer.
It's a brave new world in Denver, where the Broncos will take the field without Mike Shanahan on the sideline for the first time since 1995. Josh McDaniels, their new coach, was 19 back then, and has one of the shortest resumes of any head coach in NFL history. That could be a good thing or a bad thing, but it was clear that Shanahan's system was no longer bearing fruit and the team may benefit just from the change of voice on the sideline.
Much was made about Ben Roethlisberger's first half touchdown and Darrell Jackson's offensive pass interference -- which negated a touchdown -- in the aftermath of the Steelers victory over the Seahawks in Super Bowl XL. Those who follow the Zebra Report know that I refuse to ever claim the officials cost any team a game, however, there was one call in this game that cost the Seahawks a lot more than the above well-publicized calls.

As always, please feel free to chime in with opinions, updates, and rumors in the comments.
The Arizona Cardinals
Anquan Boldin - After the last Sunday's vicious hit, Boldin came away with a fractured sinus membrane, which I believe means he broke his face. While he is lucky that is the worst of it after what looked like a neck injury, he is very unlikely to play on Sunday at this point. It has not yet been ruled out however, so keep an eye on his progress.
The Baltimore Ravens
Willis McGahee - McGahee continues to keep things interesting as now he has injured ribs, which limited his playing time on Monday night. His efforts in practice this week have been limited, but he did practice on Friday, so he should be good to at least split carries.
The Buffalo Bills
Roscoe Parrish - Parrish is definitely out for three to five more weeks with a thumb injury. While this is not material for many people, it opens the door for James Hardy to gain some playing time and for Lee Evans to put up a couple of his sporadic breakout games.
The Carolina Panthers
Jonathan Stewart - Stewart is still on the injury report, but he will be fine to go this week.
Jake Delhomme - Delhomme is listed as probable with a thigh injury, but he will be ready for week 5. With Steve Smith back and Muhsin Muhammad getting involved, Delhomme's value is on the up and up.

The Atlanta Falcons
Michael Turner - After making the injury report last week with an ankle injury, Turner is now probable with a shoulder injury. He should be fine as he practiced full speed Thursday, but it might not be a bad time to start thinking about selling high on Turner.
The Baltimore Ravens
Willis McGahee - In a controversial development, the Ravens are speculating that the Browns pulled a "Sweep the leg Johnny" on McGahee and purposefully inflicted harm upon him. McGahee continues to struggle with his swollen, cut eye and although he is listed as probable, he has not made much progress. The game is Monday night though, so hopefully he'll be ready, but this is worse than it sounds.
The Buffalo Bills
Roscoe Parrish - Parrish is definitely out for four to six weeks with a thumb injury. While this is not material for many people, it may open the door for James Hardy to gain some playing time and for Lee Evans to put up a couple of his sporadic breakout games.
The Carolina Panthers
Jonathan Stewart - Stewart was limited in practice Thursday to rest his foot injury, but he should be there come Sunday.

The Arizona Cardinals
Steve Breaston - Breaston practiced lightly this week with a knee injury, but is expected to play on Sunday.
The Atlanta Falcons
Michael Turner - Turner was seen with his ankle in a bucket of ice (owww)after Sunday's game, but he says it is not serious and will be ready.
The Chicago Bears
Devin Hester - Hester has some torn cartilage in his ribs and has not practiced this week. I doubt if anybody starts Hester, but if so look elsewhere as he probably will not play.

In searching for undervalued wide receivers, a key stat to note is the number of times a particular player is targeted. While obviously the number of targets correlates pretty closely to the number of receptions, a better way to uncover value is by including the number of receptions in the equation. In other words, look at the catch to target ratio (catches divided by targets). By analyzing this stat, it gives a better sense of the efficiency of a particular quarterback to wide receiver connection. In doing so, you can undercover some gems in two different ways.
The first is obvious; by looking at those players who convert the highest percentage of their targets into receptions. A high catch to target ratio should imply consistency from any of these picks. In looking at the top 50 wide receivers in 2007, the range of percentages of catches per target ranged from 42.7% to 77.2%. Amongst the top ten, two were tight ends (Owen Daniels and Jason Witten) and two were running backs (Reggie Bush and Brian Westbrook). Obviously, those positions have higher efficiency numbers based on these receptions being quick strikes and screen passes. Of the remaining six, Wes Welker (77.2%), Anquan Boldin (71.2%), Bobby Engram (70.1%), Marques Colston (68.5%), Donald Driver (67.2%), Reggie Wayne (66.7%), and T.J. Houshmandzadeh (66.3%) posted the strongest numbers. While Donald Driver will be playing with a new quarterback in Aaron Rodgers and Bobby Engram is banged up, the other four wide receivers should be up on your radar in their respective ADP ranges.
Marshall is expected to be healthy for the start of camp but, with Parker, Jackson, Keary Colbert and Brandon Stokley, now Denver's got some cover in case he isn't ready for the opening bell. Even if Marshall is ready, they still need another starter. The Broncos approach appears to be one that favors the quantity of choices over quality.
Stokley, pencilled in as the starter, would be a better fit in his familiar third receiver role. Jackson had some great seasons with the Seahawks but his one year in San Francisco was a disaster and there's been very little interest in him around the league. Colbert never built on a solid rookie year with Carolina and Parker is nothing more than a depth player.
When those storms end and the damage is less than the worst case scenario, people are left with a surplus of unwanted condensed milk in the pantry. The Broncos seem like they are in the same situation. It's good to be prepared but better to be well-stocked in advance.
