Via the press release: "In support of NFL PLAY 60, all Thanksgiving weekend games will raise awareness of the childhood obesity epidemic and showcase the NFL and its clubs' commitment to help reverse this trend."

Hey, sometimes sedentary, preteen gamers need a little tough love when it comes to actually getting outside long enough to break a sweat. Or maybe I'm overselling it a bit. Slow-motion, NFL Films-inspired video of the 90-second public service announcement after the jump:

The Once-Over: Week 10

Tom Brady Peyton ManningWith attention spans dwindling, we forgo full game-by-game previews to give you the essentials you need to know about every contest this glorious NFL weekend. We call it The Once-Over.

The Early Games

Denver (6-2) at Washington (2-6): Denver has lost its last two games and has shown an inability to score against good defenses. Washington's defense is ranked fifthh in the NFL, and that spells a much closer matchup than two teams with such opposite records should be involved in. It's extremely tough to throw against Washington, so Knowshon Moreno becomes a very important factor on Sunday. If he does well, Denver wins -- If Moreno falters, Denver loses.

Dallas Cowboys 2009 Season Preview: Glory Days Feel Like Ages Ago

Tony RomoTraining camps have wrapped up, the NFL season is right around the corner, and it's still hot as sin outside. But instead of cooling you off with a warm island song, FanHouse break out ye old heat check for our 2009 NFL Season Previews. We'll rate each club in 5 categories on a scale of 1 to 10, high score wins.

Tony Romo was 16 years old the last time the Dallas Cowboys won a playoff game -- Dec. 28, 1996 over Minnesota. Since then, a span of 13 seasons, America's Team has gone 0-6 in the postseason and failed to qualify for the playoffs seven times. It's a shocking drought for a franchise with the history, and more obviously, the pride that Dallas does that there has been more recent on-field success. This is a big season in Big D, for Romo, for coach Wade Phillips, for the future of the franchise. But breaking that postseason jinx won't be easy.

Video Board Steals Show in Opening Game at Cowboys' New Stadium

Cowboys video board
ARLINGTON, Texas -- The video board at the Cowboys' new stadium became a big part of the story for the first-ever NFL game played here on Friday night.

Following Dallas' 30-10 victory over the Titans in this $1.2 billion palace, there was a general sense that the gigantic video board is a problem -- but it depends on who you ask.

Cowboys Are Underdogs and That Suits Them Just Fine

Tony RomoWhen Dallas opens the preseason in Oakland on Thursday night, it'll do so as a team looking to prove itself.

The Cowboys are not thought of among the NFC's elite teams. These Cowboys believe they are underdogs -- which may be a good thing, because when they're the favorites, they struggle to handle it.

"They keep talking about those teams [Giants, Eagles and Cardinals]," linebacker DeMarcus Ware said of the NFC's expected powers. "That allows us to become the underdog -- I know that's not going to happen, but I hope it does."

No Spotlight, No Problem for Rising Star Mario Williams

Mario WilliamsSummer is heating up and so is NFL football, so FanHouse is at Texans training camp to get you the rundown on Texas' other team, as it gets ready for the '09 season.

HOUSTON -- One of the best defensive players in the game lives here.

He isn't on Twitter every day like Shawne Merriman, doesn't play with a star on his helmet like DeMarcus Ware, didn't skip a trip to see the president like James Harrison, and doesn't play in New York like Justin Tuck.

He's Mario Williams, and he is quietly doing his thing for the Houston Texans. Williams is 24 years old and is already setting the standard for defensive ends across the league.

No-Huddle Notebook: Michael Crabtree Addresses His Critics

Michael CrabtreeFrom the moment wide receiver Michael Crabtree decided to leave Texas Tech for the NFL, he's been scrutinized. Crabtree didn't want to play for the Raiders, had a posse, was a diva, rubbed his new teammates the wrong way and almost cried in front of 49ers coach Mike Singletary.

Crabtree disputes all those claims -- according to Crabtree, his adjustment to the NFL has been pain-free.

"I haven't had too many surprises," Crabtree told FanHouse on Wednesday from San Francisco. "You expect the unexpected, that's how I live. I got my backup plan ready. It's what I do."

Fantasy Football Team Preview: Cowboys

Tony RomoWith Fantasy Football season ready to kick in high gear, FanHouse is here to preview each and every team -- one per day until we've done them all.

Meet The ...
The team that decided to become more "Romo-friendly". Tony Romo got rid of two divas this offseason. He broke it off with longtime gal Jessica Simpson and the team released wide receiver Terrell Owens. While neither departure is guaranteed to help the Cowboys, getting rid of Owens with no true number one receiver in house will most likely shift the offense back towards a run-first philosophy, which will be quite a change from the 58% pass offense that Dallas utilized in 2008.
