UFC 105 Pre-Fight Presser Wrap-Up

In the final press conference before Saturday's UFC 105 event in Manchester, England, Brandon Vera delivered an earnest show of respect towards his opponent and mentor Randy Couture.

"Come fight night, you're going to see potentially the best Brandon Vera that you have seen so far and I won't be hesitating at all, I promise," Vera said. "And that's for me and for Randy, so he knows that I'm coming along in this sport and that I've set goals and I'm moving forward for those goals. So he'll understand that I'm not playing around anymore. But all the respect in the world has to go to him.

"He's an ambassador for the sport. He's done his thing. He's five-time world champion, that motivates me more to be him, to beat that man."

UFC 105: Denis Kang on Fighting Michael Bisping in Manchester

Denis Kang is a Canadian MMA fighter of Korean and French descent whose biggest career wins came in Japan. But he's getting ready to fight in front of his largest American television audience to date when he steps into the Octagon at UFC 105 in England in a fight that will be shown on Spike TV, and he says he's excited about the opportunity to show his skills to a large number of fans who have never seen him fight before.

In an interview with FanHouse, Kang discussed his upcoming fight with Michael Bisping in Bisping's hometown, the reasons he believes the UFC would be wise to stage a show in South Korea, and his thoughts on some of the best moments of his 46-fight career. The full interview is below.

UFC 105 Video: Michael Bisping 'Embarrassed' by Dan Henderson KO

Michael Bisping will return to the Octagon on Saturday for the first time since he was knocked cold by Dan Henderson at UFC 100 -- a knockout that he now describes as an embarrassing experience.

The MMA Hour: Michael Bisping on UFC 105; Gus Johnson Previews Strikeforce

On this week's edition of The MMA Hour, we were first joined by UFC middleweight star Michael Bisping. "The Count" who is gearing up for his fight against Denis Kang at UFC 105 on Nov. 14, talked about putting his recent knockout loss to Dan Henderson behind him and why so many fighters and fans love to hate him.

Later in the show, we talked to play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson, who will be calling Saturday night's Strikeforce card on CBS. Johnson discussed MMA's rise in popularity and whether Fedor Emelianenko can become a star in the United States. MDS and I also previewed some of the storylines heading into Saturday's event. Listen to the show below.

UFC 105

Former champ Randy Couture returns to light heavyweight at UFC 105 in a main event fight against Brandon Vera on Nov. 14 at the MEN Arena in England.

Also on the card, Mike Swick fights for a possible welterweight title shot taking on Dan Hardy and Michael Bisping looks to get back on the winning track in a middleweight bout against Denis Kang.

Below is the fight card.

Firas Zahabi Talks GSP vs. Silva, Kenny Florian, Jon Jones' Future

Firas Zahabi, the head MMA trainer at the Tristar Gym in Montreal, is quickly becoming one of the more respected coaches in MMA. Zahabi was once known primarily for being Georges St-Pierre's trainer but has recently added the likes of Jon Jones, Denis Kang and Kenny Florian to his impressive stable of fighters.

FanHouse spoke to Zahabi recently about the possibly of a St-Pierre fight against Anderson Silva, Florian leaving Team Sityodtong, and Jones' potential in the sport. Check out the full video interview below.

Bisping to Return to Action at UFC 105

Michael Bisping's first fight back from his knockout loss to Dan Henderson at UFC 100 will be against Denis Kang at UFC 105 on Nov. 14 at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England, the UFC confirmed Tuesday.

Fellow Brit Dan Hardy has also been confirmed for the event in a welterweight tilt versus undefeated Korean superstar Dong Hyun Kim.

Bisping and Hardy are only the first two confirmed of many British fighters expected for the UFC 105 card with a main event still to be announced. The Ultimate Fighter 9 winners Ross Pearson and James Wilks are also expected to compete.

Sobral on Mousasi: When I Started Fighting, He Was Still on Mother's Lap

Since making his debut in 1997, Renato "Babalu" Sobral has seen more than a few hot prospects capture attention before fading away. His Aug. 1 Affliction: Trilogy opponent, Gegard Mousasi, is perhaps the latest in a long line of hyped young stars who has excited observers with his potential.

And while only time will tell if Mousasi meets the predictions that many are forecasting for him, Sobral can only concern himself with the present. And what he sees is a talented kid who is a bit short on experience.

"He's a Dream champion. He's not overrated; he's just one more guy," said Sobral, whose fight will air as one of the featured matches on the 9PM ET pay-per-view broadcast. "He's a young guy, upcoming. But when I started fighting for the first time, he was still on his mother's lap."

UFC 93 Morning After: Let's Hear It for Dan Henderson

After the 1996 Olympics, Dan Henderson was a world-class athlete looking for a way to make a living. He had just competed in Greco-Roman wrestling in Atlanta, and he knew he wasn't ready to retire as an athlete at age 26, but he also knew there was no professional Greco-Roman wrestling circuit.

So he decided to take a shot at mixed martial arts, a sport so obscure that when he told people he was doing it, most didn't know what it was. Even those who had heard of it were only vaguely aware of what it was; some people called it Ultimate Fighting, some called it vale tudo, some called it no holds barred, and some called it savagery unfit for an Olympian.

But Henderson entered the Brazil Open in 1997, and that began an MMA career that has seen him fight professionally on four continents, and an MMA career that continued on Saturday with his victory over Rich Franklin in the main event at UFC 93.
