Erin Andrews Harassed by Rutgers Fans

Erin Andrews is a celebrity. And she has been since her sideline-sandwich-eating was made famous by various sports blogs. But then, as everyone knows by now, her fame took a dark turn in the past few months, if I may understate the whole "super-creepy-peephole-stalker" angle.

After that, America collectively (despite the continued evil nature and inherent Lucifer-esque quality of sports blogs) got its act together and decided to stop ogling Andrews in the open. Unfortunately, someone forgot to tell Rutgers fans that EA is now off-limits -- in the video after the jump, you'll see where some kid in the stands decided that screaming "ERIN!!!!" and "MARRY ME!!!" was the classy thing to do (maybe he thought he was at a Jonas Brothers concert or something).

All potshots at New Jersey aside, it obviously wasn't. Fortunately for Andrews, she got to interview "Lil' Jovi" after the game.

Back on the Road, Erin Andrews Is 'Hanging in There'

Erin AndrewsTAMPA, Fla. -- Erin Andrews, who was thrust into the national spotlight after the illegal videotaping of her in hotel rooms, said she's doing OK and is looking forward to returning home to Tampa this week, Andrews told FanHouse.

"I'm doing OK," Andrews said. "I'm so busy with college football, doing two games a week. It's a lot. We're in the middle of the season, really, really traveling a lot and I'm consumed with work. I'm doing OK. I'm fortunate I do two games a week and I'm so busy. I'm hanging."

In her first interview since appearing on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in August, Andrews told FanHouse she still enjoys her job as a sideline reporter for ESPN. A graduate of the University of Florida and Bloomingdale High School, located just east of Tampa, Andrews will work Thursday's game between No. 8 Cincinnati and No. 21 South Florida in Tampa.

Erin Andrews' Alleged Stalker Michael David Barrett Released on Bond

Michael David Barrett, the man arrested for allegedly altering a peephole to film a naked Erin Andrews, is being portrayed by his friends as a "normal guy" despite allegations that he persistently stalked Andrews for some time.

On Monday, the Los Angeles Times reported that "authorities allege Barrett called 14 hotels in Milwaukee in July 2008 to determine where Andrews was staying while she covered a Major League Baseball game."

Marshall Grossman, Andrews' lawyer, filed a complaint last Friday criticizing a Nashville Marriott for granting Barrett's request for a room right next to Andrews in September 2008. It was at that hotel that Barrett allegedly "used a cellphone camera to record Andrews after removing the door's peephole and altering it with a hacksaw."

Erin Andrews' Lawyer Goes After Hotel

Michael David Barrett, the man accused of illegally taping a naked Erin Andrews through a hotel peephole, was arrested Friday and charged with interstate stalking.

Week in Review: Love Prevails and Jails

Due to the sensitive nature of this Week in Review, I urge everyone under 18 to get permission from their parents before reading. Then they can tell me if I heard this right.

David Letterman admitted to having sex with Paul Shaffer?

Pardon my confusion, but last week's news came so fast and tawdry it qualified as trashy romance novel. The main characters were Letterman, Lamar Odom, Roman Polanski, Jon & Kate, Greg Norman, Erin Andrews' stalker and the International Olympic Committee.

FBI Makes Arrest in Erin Andrews Peephole Case

Erin Andrews
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A man accused of taping surreptitious nude videos of cable television sports reporter Erin Andrews while she was alone in hotel rooms appeared in federal court Saturday and was ordered returned to California.

Michael David Barrett made an initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Arlander Keys, who ordered him returned to Los Angeles, where charges against him were filed. Keys set another hearing for Monday to determine if Barrett will be freed on bond to return or must go in custody.

Twitter Mail: Mark Whicker, Erin Andrews

My Twitter followers had plenty to say this week about a couple of media figures who found themselves under intense scrutiny for very different reasons: Orange County Register writer Mark Whicker, whose column detailing the sports events that kidnapping victim Jaycee Dugard missed during her captivity was derided as the worst sports column ever, and ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews, who was the victim of a stalker who posted nude images of her online.

Your questions and comments, and my responses, on these two issues are below.

Erin Andrews Tells Oprah Winfrey: 'It's Been a Nightmare'

Making what she vowed would be her first and last public comments about an Internet video showing her naked in a hotel room, ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews said that she was devastated by the invasion of her privacy and is still feeling the effects of it.

Appearing with Oprah Winfrey in a previously recorded episode that aired today, Andrews first watched a compilation of news coverage of the peephole video and then said, "It's tough to see that again because you just feel like you relive it, but I'm getting better. ... It's been a nightmare."

Erin Andrews' Bodyguard at NCSU Game Was Trained by Secret Service

As it turns out, ESPN and Erin Andrews were very, very serious about the security surrounding the "sideline princess" at last Thursday's NC State-South Carolina game. How do we know? Well, that's because her bodyguard (one dude primed to guard her) was trained by the Secret Service. Oy. Vey.

Of course, you may actually remember hearing something like this from FanHouse's David Whitley who was on assignment for the official AOL Erin Andrews Watch (trademark pending!) in Raleigh last week. Whitley was able to get close enough to Andrews to notice a "Secret Service-looking guy" shadowing her.

Erin Andrews Returns to Toe Sideline Between Reporter, Vixen

RALEIGH, N.C. – Erin Andrews had to feel better about her performance than Steve Spurrier, and his team won.

South Carolina beat North Carolina State 7-3 in a stinker of a game. At least it smelled like a hamper full of used socks. I didn't see much of it because I was busy watching Andrews.

For the first time in weeks somebody can say that without being called a pervert. Andrews was back on the sideline, and it had to feel ... well, I wish we knew.
