When UFC President Dana White criticizes Fedor Emelianenko's decision to fight on M-1 Global and Strikeforce co-promoted cards instead of fighting in the UFC, he likes to say it's proof that Fedor doesn't want to fight the best on a consistent basis.

Fedor Emelianenko Says His Hand and Nose Are Fine

Dismissing reports that he suffered a broken nose and a serious hand injury in beating Brett Rogers on Saturday, Fedor Emelianenko said in an interview this week that neither injury was serious and he'll be back soon.

Speaking to Loretta Hunt of Sherdog.com, Fedor said he didn't break his nose and that his hand injury is much less serious than has been reported, and that he won't be out four to six months as was feared. Video below.

CBS has released for free viewing the entire broadcast of this past Saturday's Saturday Night Fights featuring the heavyweight contest between Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers at the Sears Centre near Chicago, Ill.

The main card was rounded out by Jake Shields vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Gegard Mousasi vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Fabricio Werdum vs. Antonio Silva.

Fedor vs. Rogers Main Event Draws 5.46 Million Viewers

The final Nielsen ratings are in and 5.46 million viewers tuned in Saturday to watch Strikeforce and M-1 Global's main event between Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers from 11PM to 11:15PM ET on CBS, FanHouse has learned.

The numbers for the entire Saturday Night Fights broadcast, which included Jake Shields vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Gegard Mousasi vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Fabricio Werdum vs. Antonio Silva, earned the network a 2.5 rating for 4.042 million viewers from 9PM to 11:24PM ET.

Fedor Emelianenko Out 4-6 Months?

An injury to his left hand suffered this past Saturday against Brett Rogers could force Fedor Emelianenko out of action up to the middle of 2010, according to Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker.

"[The hand injury] could've been from that blow when he had Brett on the mat at the end," Coker said in an article published Tuesday on the LA Times. "We're hearing he could be out for four to six months."
