Pro Kickboxer Ray Sefo Looking to Stick Around in Mixed Martial Arts

Ray Sefo has competed in over 70 professional kickboxing matches, yet he is now focusing most of his attention on his budding MMA career. The 38-year-old, who recently improved his MMA record to 2-0 with a win over Kevin Jordan at a Strikeforce Challengers show in September, has been spending his time training at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, and that's where FanHouse recently caught up with him.

Sefo talked about focusing the majority of his attention on these days on MMA and fighting Herschel Walker -- even though he has never heard of the former Heisman Trophy winner. Check out the video interview below.

Dana White Talks Fedor, Herschel, Kimbo, Anderson Silva vs. Lyoto Machida

In a wide-ranging interview on ESPN's Jim Rome Is Burning, UFC President Dana White talked about why Kimbo Slice is in the UFC, why Fedor Emelianenko could still end up in the Octagon and why Herschel Walker never will -- and he said a fight between middleweight champion Anderson Silva and light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida could happen in 2010.

Herschel Walker: Dana White Doesn't Know Anything About Athletic Talent

Herschel WalkerThe entry into the mixed martial arts world of former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL star Herschel Walker drew a harsh rebuke from the most powerful man in the sport, UFC President Dana White, who called the 47-year-old's foray into MMA, "ridiculous." But on Tuesday Walker fired back and said White doesn't understand the kind of athletic talent he has.

TapouT Duo Talks Nationwide Tour, Herschel Walker, Going Mainstream

Punkass and Skyscrape, the eccentric TapouT duo, have embarked on a nationwide tour to promote their popular MMA apparel line. Amazingly, 12 years after the clothing line was launched from the back of a car, it's more popular than ever, and dare I say, mainstream.

FanHouse recently spoke to them in New York about the tour, dealing with the recent death of their partner, Charles "Mask" Lewis Jr., sponsoring Herschel Walker in his new career and much more. Check out the video interview below. (Some language is NSFW).

Dana White Rips Strikeforce, Showtime For Signing Herschel Walker

Herschel Walker Signs With Strikeforce

Former Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker has signed an agreement with Strikeforce, FanHouse has learned.

The former NFL running back will immediately enter an 8-to-12 week training camp with the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, Calif.

Strikeforce director of communications Mike Afromowitz said it's too early to speculate when the 47-year-old will make his debut with the organization but it will probably be sometime in 2010.

Greatest Living Heisman Trophy Winners

With the recent passing of Doc "Mr. Inside" Blanchard, FanHouse takes a stab at naming the five greatest living Heisman Trophy winners

In a game that spans many eras, any task like this is exceedingly difficult and fraught with contradiction. With all the nostalgia built into the Heisman Trophy and the game of college football, we're buying into it with a less clinical, more emotional effort at ranking players. There's a bias towards the modern, towards a player being associated with the trophy and towards those that most captured peoples' imaginations.

Herschel Walker's Ex-Wife Says He Held a Gun to Her Head, Threatened to Kill Her

Former Cowboys, Vikings, Eagles and Giants running back Herschel Walker had a long and successful NFL career, but he has now written a book in which he says that he was coping with mental illness through his playing days. And in an interview on Good Morning America, Walker's ex-wife, Cindy, said that she sometimes feared for her life around him:

"We were talking and the next thing I knew, he got a gun, and he put it to my temple," she recalls. When asked what Walker said to her while he had a gun to her head, Cindy replied, "I'm going to blow your f---ing brains out."

Walker said in the interview that he's "ashamed" and "disappointed in myself" for what he did, and that the incident with the gun is what led him to get help. He has since been diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder, also known as multiple personality disorder, and he and Cindy both believe that it was an alternate personality that threatened Cindy's life that day.Sorry, No Photos

Old School: What Can Bulldog Fever Do for Herschel Walker? Little, Evidently

"Old School" is the College Football FanHouse's irregular look back at the rich history of college football, usually through the medium of embeddable flash video. Check out the Old School archive for more famous plays and infamous hair.

It's 1982 in Georgia, and the most popular things are Herschel Walker, the colors red and black, and porny mustaches. But don't take it from me, take it from this assortment of Herschel Walker, suited dudes, horrifying clown-women, and spaced-out students:

Behold the dignity of fandom!

PORNY MUSTACHE GUY: What does it ["Bulldog Fever"] do for you?
HERSCHEL WALKER: For me? It doesn't do anything.

Woooo!

Herschel Walker Will Chronicle Life With Multiple Personality Disorder in Book

Former Cowboys, Vikings, Eagles and Giants running back Herschel Walker will reveal in a new book that he has multiple personality disorder, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting.

Neither Walker nor the book's publisher will discuss any specifics of the revelation in the book. Titled Breaking Free, the book is listed on Amazon as having a release date in August. The Journal-Constitution reports on the nature of multiple personality disorder:

Multiple personality disorder, or dissociative identity disorder (DID), as it is more commonly referred to today, is a rare mental condition in which one person has two or more distinct personalities, according to the Merck Manual of Medical Information.

The personalities may or may not be aware of each other and a particular personality may not have access to all of the individual's memories. The switch from one personality to another can be very disorienting and the active personality may have memory lapses or feel that he or she has lost track of time. Persons suffering from this disorder may refer to themselves in the plural or in the third person.

Victims of DID have usually experienced a severe, traumatic shock of some kind and most report being abused as children. Treatment for this illness involves integrating the various personalities into one and usually requires psychotherapy that may continue for years, according to Merck.

Dr. Jerry Mungadze, a psychologist who is J Mungadze, PhD, LPC President and Founder of the Mungadze Trauma Programs in Bedford, Texas (just outside Dallas), wrote the foreword for the book. He also did not return phone calls seeking comment.

Walker had never previously disclosed having any mental illness. In 1991 he was treated for carbon monoxide poisoning after his wife found him unconscious in his garage with his car running, but he said it was not a suicide attempt. Sorry, No Photos
