A reader who identified himself as David Murphy claims that he saw members of the Pacers making it rain at a Minneapolis strip club the night before the hapless team got dunked by the Wolves.I guess they can't pin this one on Stephen Jackson.
"Monday evening several of the players from the Indiana Pacers basketball team spent a great deal of time and money at Schieks Nightclub and judging from their performance last night in the fourth quarter they might have been better served getting some rest at their hotel," wrote Murphy via e-mail.
Murphy also claimed to have seen the players "make it rain," which means they were throwing money at the strippers.
Not that I think this is a terribly big deal. I don't think a strip club is a particularly healthy place for anyone to hang out, but hey, a lot of people do it. If it's okay for your average Joe frat boy out there to go to a strip club, why would the standard be any different for NBA players? Some tip one single at a time. Some can afford to make it rain. Let's not split hairs.
