Ingrid Challenged by Fellow NASCAR WAG

After several rounds of knocking out the competition from other sports for the Hottest Sports Wife / Girlfriend, NASCAR champ Jeff Gordon's wife, Ingrid Vandebosch, is facing a match up with another NASCAR WAG--the one considered the hottest by the drivers themselves: Athena Barber, girlfriend of Clint Bowyer.

She's not just popular with the guys, either. She's so adored by NASCAR WAG fans that Bowyer is sometimes referred to as "Athena's boyfriend." There is no shortage of compliments for the girlfriend--from praise for showing constant support for her man to the way she dresses, down to the shoes and accessories. But perhaps her best asset is her genuine smile that accompanies almost every one of her casually sexy, but never overdone outfits--unless you count heels at the racetrack over doing it, which I don't. I must say, the top in this pic isn't one of my favs ... see better examples here.

Ingrid Still the Hottest, Up Against Hollywood

NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon's wife, Ingrid Vandebosch, is still holding her own in Our Book of Scrap's Hottest Sports WAG title competition.

After handily crushing her two recent challengers Christy Cooley (60/40), and Patricia Mikula (75/25), Ingrid now holds an impressive 8-0 record with 7 KO's.

Hotter than an NFL cheerleader? Check.

Hotter than a Playboy Cyber Girl? Check.

Hotter than a 25-year-old actress? In progress.

Ingrid's latest challenger, "One Tree Hill" actress Sophia Bush, current female companion of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, is currently lagging in the poll with only 38% of the votes to Ingrid's 62%.

Fantastic. But much like watching the same drivers lead the points race week in and week out, waiting for Ingrid to crush the competition time and time again is getting a tad boring.

Do we to shake things up a bit? Maybe it's time to throw Clint Bowyer's girlfriend into the mix.

Mrs. Gordon Continues Title Defense, Playboy Cyber Girl Next Challenger

Jeff Gordon's wife, Ingrid Vandebosch, has won another round of Our Book of Scrap's Hottest Wife/Girlfriend in Sports contest, defeating former Washington Redskins cheerleader Christy Oglevee.

The next sports WAG to challenge Ingrid for the title is Polish-American Playboy Cyber Girl Patrycja Mikula, girlfriend of UFC Fighter Andrei Arlovski.

A little about Patricia, in her own words (and punctuation):
Im very down to earth, people that dont know me sometimes think Im stuck up but looks are very deceiving.Dont judge the book by its cover :)Im also very honest, I speak my mind. If I dont like something or someone, they will know about it. What's the point of being fake?
What's the point of fake ... ? Um ... aren't those ... ? Oh, nevermind. If you must know, Google "Patrycja Mikula nude." You can try Googling "Ingrid Vandebosch nude," too, but you won't have any luck. (Answer this... gets plenty traffic out of that little inquiry.)

But before you go off searching for photos ... turn your attention back to the poll. So far consensus seems to be that "classy trumps trashy." Will the trend continue? Survey at the time of this posting says yes:

Ingrid=70
Patrycja=30

White Men Can't Dance and Other Half Truths

Monday on Live with Regis and Kelly and Jeff Gordon, Gordon reminded us all that white men still can't dance. Exception required, of course, for Wade Robson, but trust me when I tell you, Gordon didn't learn his pelvic moves from WaJeRo ... or Elvis.

"Oversteer" is an understatement. If you find the "Whine Up" performance as painful as I do, you'll want to let the video load first (or at least turn the volume down) and let 'er rip at about 3:12 to go and wait for the hilarity that is Jeff Gordon's runaway pelvis.

Think an "I'm sorry, honey" for trying to giddy up and grind on Kat DeLuna and embarrassing himself on national television is gonna cut it? I hope he came home with more than an apology for Ingrid. Ella, too. Seriously, one day her friends are going to give her so much sh*t about this video.

Meet Ella Sofia Gordon

Jeff Gordon and wife Ingrid Vandebosch revealed the first pictures of daughter Ella Sophia today on www.jeffgordon.com.

Gorgeous!

So, what does Gordon think of fatherhood a daddy so far? It's "amazing."

"I'm getting less sleep, that's for sure. It's not so bad, it's been good. Ingrid's been fantastic. I don't know how she does it because she's got to be up every three hours, but the baby's sleeping good, feeding good, so that's helping both of us.

It makes leaving home more difficult, but won't interfere with his focus on racing:
"It's harder to leave but once we get here, your mind is so focused on driving the car, being competitive, that it doesn't enter into your mind a whole lot. When I'm in the car [it's the] same way, I'm focused on that. Anytime I have to go do an appearance or leave to come to the race, it's much tougher, but it's also a lot more exciting to go home when I do."

Drivers to Bowyer: Your Girlfriend Is Hot

Sports Illustrated polled NASCAR drivers and the results showed that 29% of them think Clint Bowyer's girlfriend is hotter than their own significant other.

Not surprising. Athena Barber, part-time model and former Bassani Babe, is as full of southern charm as she is natural beauty. She never fails to turn heads at the track with her casually sexy style. No doubt even some of the female NASCAR following would admit to having a girl crush on her. More pics and video.

Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman and Robby Gordon also received votes for their women, making it an eclectic group: Eva Busch, the buxom blonde; Krissie Newman, the girl next door; and former Miss Winston Renee White, the ex-Mrs. Derrike Cope.

I am surprised that Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth didn't get any mentions. Chandra Johnson is at times positively stunning ... and drivers openly admit to drooling over Katie Kenseth.

Ironically, Jeff Gordon's "supermodel" wife, Ingrid Vandebosch, doesn't do much for the rest of the field.

Drivers to Junior: Hands off our Daughters
65% of NASCAR drivers polled said they wouldn't let their daughter date Dale Earnhardt Jr.

TGOM to Drivers, Owners, Crew Chiefs, et. al.: Be on guard. NASCAR's most eligible bachelor is in the market to replace his latest female companion, who recently passed her expiration date.

Gordon A Father, Will Race in Sonoma

Earlier today, Jeff Gordon and Ingrid Vandebosch welcomed a new daughter into the world. Ella Sofia Gordon was born at 9:09 a.m., weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20 inches long.

"It's been an absolutely incredible experience," Gordon said. "Ingrid came through amazingly and we're both really happy and overjoyed. We can't wait to get home and start our lives together as a family."

The four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion will travel to Northern California later this week and is scheduled to participate in all on-track activities at Infineon Raceway, site of this weekend's NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race.

New York City Is Just Right for Gordon, Wife

Hidden among endless Yankee and Met writing and glamorous celebrity coverage came this nugget of news last week from the New York Post.
"NASCAR star Jeff Gordon has just become a full-time New Yorker. The 35-year-old hot-rodder and his smokin' hot Belgian model wife Ingrid Vandebosch have just signed a one-year, $26,000-a-month lease for an apartment at the Park Imperial on West 56th Street."
For that cool $26K/month, Gordon's pad at the Park Imperial will have three bedrooms and bathrooms. Views of Central Park from 70 stories up will be the norm and tenant that lives just above the new space? Sean "Diddy" Combs. That's a treat in itself, for sure.

The New York City address is nothing new for Gordon, as he has had at some residence in the Big Apple for a few years now. Apparently, Jimmie Johnson and his wife also have a place in the city.

Gordon will undoubtedly keep a place to stay in the Carolina region, as well, just for ease of visiting the Hendrick shop and other related events in the area.

Gordon's wife, Ingrid Vandebosch, is expecting a daughter in early June.

NASCAR Fanhouse Power Rankings: Atlanta

1. Tony Stewart (6/1)
The defending track champion scored the Atlanta win in October, his second win at the track to make six Top 5s and 10 Top 10s. Plus, he has the added incentive of wanting to put his sponsor and girlfriend, both Georgia natives, back in victory lane at their home track.

2. Kasey Kahne (7/1)
The defending race champion scored his first of six wins last year here at Atlanta, but he had his crew chief around for those ... and he's only had one Top 10 finish this season. The improved aerodynamics under the helmet didn't do him much good in Vegas, but he needs to climb his way into the Top 35 -- and he knows it.

3. Jeff Gordon (9/1)
NASCAR loop data has recorded 477 passes for Gordon this season, the most of any driver. Sunday, he plans to pass them all again on his way to victory lane. In 29 starts, he has recorded four wins, 12 Top 5s, 18 Top 10s in Atlanta. Let's just hope the team has a golf cart on standby--we don't want Ingrid waddling to victory lane.

4. Greg Biffle (14/1)
The Biff has never finished better than 3rd, but historically he's had the fastest times on the track on the frontstretch and in turns 1 and 3. This year he's planning a wedding, so he's looking to bring home the big purse.

5. Mark Martin (20/1)
The points leader has 2 wins, 13 Tops 5s, 21 Tops 10s, two poles at ATL and he's on a roll. Still says he won't in Bristol, but admits, "You never know ..." Can he possibly refuse a run at Bristol if he comes out ahead in the standings on Sunday?

74536.1 Kevin Harvick (11/1)
It might get boring to see him in the power rankings every week, but you just can't count the Richard Childress Racing cars out at any race. Harvick has previously posted one win and two Top 5s.

6.2 Jeff Burton (11/1)
He's posted five Tops 5s and 10 top 10s in ATL, two Top 5s already this season and a Busch win. It's good to see that he's not letting unresolved sponsorship issues affect his performance on the track.

8. Carl Edwards (12/1)
Scored his first career win here, has two in total with 3 Top5s and 4 Tops 10s -- in five starts. But he hasn't won a race since November 2005. I hope he hasn't forgotten how to do those back flips.

8056Wildcard. Bobby Labonte (75/1)
He has recorded the most wins (6) at Atlanta of any active driver and has 12 Tops 5s and two poles, but he has yet to find a win with Petty. When is the last time Petty Enterprises saw the inside of victory lane, anyway?

Longshot. Bill Elliott (100/1)
Awesome Bill from Dawsonville holds a few records at his home town track and could be a force to be reckoned with -- if the 1988 Cup champion can qualify the #37 Dodge. And if he qualifies, it could very well be at the expense of Dale Jarrett, whose run every race so far this season on a past champion provisional.
