It's another session of "Sink or Swim" Fantasy FootballFanHouse's weekly look at the underachievers still lurking on many fantasy rosters. You've got the tough choices to make and we help you decide which direction to take. Do you cut the bait or give 'em one more chance to swim?
We all had our favorite sleepers heading into the season. Happens every single year and you're doing something wrong if you don't take a flier on a sleeper or have your eyes locked in on a few. However, the hard part always comes a few weeks into the season when roster space starts evaporating due to the waiver-wire wonders. When is it time to give up already and admit you were wrong on your so-called sleeper?
I wish it was an easy answer, but unfortunately it's not. And so today, we ponder the fates of Josh Morgan, James Davis and Chris Henry. All of whom caught our eye as potential sleepers that have yet to pay off.
It's going to be Monday Night Football. The Cowboys are taking on the Carolina Panthers, who haven't yet shown a good run defense. Felix is a home run hitter, as evidenced by his 56-yard run last week, his 98-yard kick return touchdown last season and his career 8.9 yards-per-carry average on 43 carries. Give him 15 carries a week, and the sky is the limit. When news of Barber missing 1-2 weeks popped, it appeared the stars were aligning for Felix's breakout party. Now, it's looking like Barber might suit up and play. If he does, it would be like refusing to leave your friend alone with a girl at a bar. There's a hyphenated word for that, Marion, and the second part is "block." Don't be that guy. Back off and allow your buddy to get his.
As we head into what could be a pivotal weekend for your fantasy football team -- you can overcome an 0-2 start, but 0-3 likely can't be overcome without a miraculous rebound -- Tom Herrera and Matt Snyder are here with FanHouse's weekly podcast. It's chock full of good stuff. We discuss the myriad injury woes, some causes for concern, "scary" teams, musical backfields (where it's like they're playing musical chairs with running backs) and a parting shot. Oh, and we find out Tom Herrera's hatred of Bon Jovi and Snyder's belief that Bill Belichick's apartment looks like that of John Doe in Se7en.
Whether it's torn, sprained, broken or just needs to be taped, Injuries to Watch will keep you up to date on injuries around the NFL and how they'll affect your fantasy football team.
Quarterback
• Matt Cassel, Chiefs - Cassel (left knee) was limited in practice on Wednesday and is listed as questionable. But whispers out of Kansas City lean towards Cassel making it back to play in week 2. You obviously need to wait for an official word from the Chiefs before making a fantasy football decision.
• Donovan McNabb, Eagles - Andy Reid hasn't ruled out McNabb playing on Sunday, but it's much too early to make a decision. McNabb sat out of practice on Wednesday even though his broken rib is feeling better. If he doesn't play Kevin Kolb will get the start.
CLEVELAND (AP) -- Browns rookie running back James Davis sustained an unspecified head injury in a minor one-car accident and was briefly hospitalized Saturday.
Davis, a sixth-round draft pick and Cleveland's leading rusher during the exhibition season, is questionable -- a 50 percent chance of playing -- for Sunday's season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.
The Browns said Davis got into the accident at 8 a.m. as he was driving to the team's training facility in Berea, Ohio. He was held for observation at a hospital and then released.
The landscape of fantasy football changes on a whim. One thing always leads to another -- an injury here, a news report there, and the next thing you know everyone is scrambling to get up to speed. That's why the trick is to stay one step ahead of the curve. Much like actual stocks, the values of individual players waver on a daily basis.
As we prepare to close out those last few drafts left or attempt to gauge where our team stands, it's important to track our assets. Or should I say get a better feel for where their value stands in the current market. Here's a quick look through eyes, ears, experiences and observations at some early risers, guys on the decline and others who have just held steady. This is your quick-hitter post-draft edition, so pay close attention.
Preseason performance can often be misleading or misconstrued. We can, however, learn things from certain important players by simply paying attention. "It's only preseason, but ... " spins what we're seeing from an individual and how it impacts his fantasy value.
When a team's quarterback battle is at the forefront, it's very easy for other storylines to get lost. Enter running back James Davis, the Cleveland Browns' sixth-round pick, who's quietly having a noteworthy preseason and raising his fantasy football hype with each showing.

The NFL hath donned fantasy football-loving geeks with a slew of new information to ponder as we head into the regular season. The big news comes from this preseason's ongoing whine-storm, Brandon Marshall, as he finally broke the last straw with new head coach Josh McDaniels. After seemingly endless disruptive behavior from Marshall, McDaniels finally snapped and suspended Marshall through Sept. 5th.
He might play come the regular season, but you would think there is a high chance this suspension could extend or Marshall could still end up elsewhere this season. One thing is certain: downgrade this jerk in your wide receiver rankings.
There's plenty more going on elsewhere in the league, so let's take a look-see around the horn.

Whenever the NFL's active rushing leader signs with a new team, that must be the big fantasy news of the day. Seattle decided to further muddle its backfield by inking former Colt and Cardinal Edgerrin James. While it appears a deal hasn't been finalized yet, all indications are that James will soon be signed with the Seahawks.
As of Tuesday, Edge wasn't at practice with the Seahawks, according to the Seattle Post Intelligencer. Also missing from practice was T.J. Duckett, who hasn't been cut from the Seahawks yet but looks to be the odd man out in Seattle once James finalizes his contract.
This Saturday, Jamal Lewis will turn 30. Considering that age, along with the multiple knee surgeries and the 2,399 career carries, it's pretty safe to say his best days are behind him. The Browns still plan on entering the 2009 season with Lewis as their starting running back, but -- all of a sudden -- it seems there is some competition cropping up.
When training camp began, there was no talk of a running back battle in Cleveland. Jerome Harrison was set to be the back and change-of-pace back, while rookie James Davis would fight for a roster spot. After two preseason games, though, there are whispers from Cleveland that Davis could catapult all the way to the starting gig.
