Bobby Lashley Wins Third MMA Fight in 24 Seconds

A word of advice to Bobby Lashley's future MMA opponents: Better lay off the pro wrestling jokes.

The former World Wrestling Entertainment star improved to 3-0 in his MMA career on Friday night when he submitted Mike Cook via guillotine choke in just 24 seconds at Maximum Fighting Championship 21 in Alberta. It was by far Lashley's most impressive performance as an MMA fighter since turning pro late last year.

Bobby Lashley to Face Bob Sapp in June

Former WWE heavyweight champion Bobby Lashley will face MMA veteran Bob Sapp on June 27 at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Miss.

FanHouse has learned that MMA rookie officially signed his bout agreement late last night.

March Badness: Bobby Lashley Unimpressive in Beating Jason Guida

The former WWE star Bobby Lashley defeated the MMA journeyman Jason Guida Saturday night at the March Badness MMA and boxing show in Florida, looking unimpressive in winning a unanimous decision.

The theme of the fight was that Lashley was bigger and stronger than Guida but unable to do any real damage to him. Lashley, who improved his record to 2-0, has a long, long way to go before he's a complete mixed martial artist.

March Badness MMA Weigh-In Results: Bobby Lashley 251.5, Jason Guida 232

Update: Get Live March Badness Results

The results of the March Badness weigh-in are in, and the big former pro wrestler Bobby Lashley will have a 20-pound size advantage over his opponent, Jason Guida.

Lashley weighed in at 251.5 pounds, while Guida weighed in at 232. Of course, Lashley looks like a bodybuilder while Guida looks like a couch potato, so Lashley probably has about 50 pounds of muscle mass on Guida.

Full weigh-in results for all five March Badness MMA fights are below.

Video: Bobby Lashley vs. Jason Guida, With Roy Jones as Promoter

Roy Jones Jr. has two jobs on Saturday night: He'll step into the ring to box Omar Sheika, and he'll promote the entire March Badness card, which features both MMA and boxing on the undercard, and Bobby Lashley fighting Jason Guida in the MMA main event.

March Badness Still Advertising Ken Shamrock (Subject to Change)

Above is a picture I just took off my own TV, showing a commercial for Saturday night's March Badness pay-per-view show. The only problem is that Ken Shamrock has been suspended after testing positive for steroids and is no longer on the card.

Bobby Lashley on Leaving WWE for MMA: 'I Want to Be a Champion'

Twelve years ago, Bobby Lashley was one of the most impressive college wrestlers in the country. Two years ago, he was one of the most popular professional wrestlers in the country. But now he has a new challenge in front of him, making the transition from wrestling to mixed martial arts.

I interviewed Lashley this week about his upcoming fight with Jason Guida (Lashley told me he knows nothing about Guida and asked me to tell him what I know), about the cancellation of his previously scheduled fight with Ken Shamrock (Lashley doesn't hold it against Shamrock that he was suspended after a positive steroid test) and about his goals in MMA (Lashley wants to be a champ).

The full interview is below.

Jason Guida Replaces Ken Shamrock vs. Bobby Lashley at March Badness

The steroid suspension of Ken Shamrock forced the promoters of the upcoming "March Badness" boxing/MMA event to find a new opponent for the former pro wrestler Bobby Lashley. That opponent, it has now been reported, is Jason Guida.

Ariel Helwani of Versus.com reports that Guida vs. Lashley will take place on the undercard of a night of fights that also includes Roy Nelson vs. Jeff Monson in MMA and the return of Roy Jones to the boxing ring, to face Omar Sheika.
