Over the last few years there have probably been more than a few baseball fans who feel like they've learned a bit too much about those who play the sport. Instead of hearing all about their steroid use, these people would prefer to live in denial about any such problems with the sport and just watch baseball. Bud Selig is no doubt an example of this type of baseball fan.

Well, Bud and the rest of those fans should probably do everything in their power to avoid Barry Bonds' trial over the next few weeks, because if you think hearing about players injecting themselves -- or in some cases, having Jose Canseco do it -- in the butt with steroids is too much, then you're going to faint during Barry's trial. On Wednesday Barry's lawyers filed a motion to ensure that his testicles can't be used as evidence against him.

Not long ago, we told you that Barry Bonds' ex-mistress, Kimberly Bell, was set to appear in Playboy, and write a tell-all book. Well, nude photos and an accompanying article are set to appear in November's issue of the magazine. In an effort to promote the spread, Bell was interviewed by the New York Daily News where she told of Bonds' steroids use:

His body had grown thicker, his back was pocked with acne, his hair had fallen out and his testicles had shriveled when Bonds asked his former mistress if she thought anyone would suspect he was on the juice.

"Do I look bloated?" Bonds wanted to know. "Does it look funny? Do you think this is obvious?"

"I don't see how anyone could not have known, but everybody looked the other way," said Bell, who claims the slugger admitted using the juice to her in 1999."

Bonds was always moody - "I always figured he had PMS, like a woman," Bell said – but the drugs radically changed his behavior as well as his body. He became a different person, controlling, threatening and finally violent. "It went from 'I want to know where you are at' to 'I'm gonna f------ kill you. I'm gonna cut your head off and leave you in a ditch.'"

I always consider ex-anythings unreliable sources because you figure they are out to destroy the character of their former lover. Still, where there's smoke there's fire, and when you couple this story with what we've already read in Game of Shadows and elsewhere, you find that quite a mountain of implicating evidence exists. Ultimately, the Bonds detractors will point to these stories to prove their point, while Bonds supporters will demand a failed drug test, ignoring the fact that designer steroids are undetectable.

Barry Bonds' former mistress, at the center of the government's perjury investigation of the slugger, said Monday she will discuss the couple's relationship in the November issue of Playboy magazine.

The Playboy article, accompanied by a nude pictorial of Kimberly Bell, is scheduled to hit newsstands Oct. 1. The 37-year-old Bell said the article will cover details of her relationship with Bonds that she told a grand jury investigating the perjury allegations in 2005.

"The opportunity was there, and I took it," she told The Associated Press in a phone interview Monday. The photo shoot "was one of the most liberating experiences of my life."

The opportunity for what? Make money? Get yourself some time in the spotlight? Start an acting career? What do you want, Kimberly?

Bell has talked before of her dealings with Bonds, and his alleged steroid use and tax evasion. Bonds' lawyer, Michael Rains, couldn't be reached for comment on the latest grenade launched at his client.

Personally, I don't think this will be all that big a deal for Bonds. It's Playboy, nobody reads the articles. The only thing I want to know is if Bud Selig was present for Bell's photo shoot, and did he look happy while he was there?

"Kimberly has never talked about her sex life with Barry," says her Phoenix-based agent, David Hans Schmidt. "And believe me, there's plenty to tell."

Besides her hot physique, Bell is offering love notes from Bonds, phone messages and testimony she gave to the FBI in the BALCO steroids trafficking case.

Meanwhile, you had Barry Bonds whining in front of the media a few years ago, complaining that the press had broken him down and caused his family tremendous grief. Then, you see stories like this one, and it makes you wonder if that's the reason his kids were crying.

As for my take, I would never purchase such pointless drivel if it gets published. Kimberly Bell was well aware that Barry Bonds was married with a family, and still engaged in the relationship. That makes her just as bad, if not worse, than Barry for cheating. Don't forget, for every man and player who cheats, there is another woman involved as well. I hope you won't be contributing any money to this woman by purchasing the book. As for the nude pictures, feel free to forward those along if you get your hands on them.
