UFC Twitter Mailbag: UFC 102, Todd Duffee, Couture vs. Nogueira, More

UFC 102 is in the books, and the UFC Twitter universe had plenty to say about a great night of fights. We have questions and comments about old-timer heavyweights Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Randy Couture, young up-and-coming heavyweight Todd Duffee, light heavyweight knockout artist Thiago Silva and a couple of NCAA champion wrestlers, Jake Rosholt and Mark Munoz, who are looking good early in their MMA careers.

UFC 102 Undercard Live Blog: Herman-Simpson, Gonzaga-Tuchscherer, More

This is the UFC 102 undercard live blog for all six matches on the undercard, which features Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Chris Tuchscherer, Ed Herman vs. Aaron Simpson, Mike Russow vs. Justin McCully, Todd Duffee vs. Tim Hague, Mark Munoz vs. Nick Catone and Marcus Aurelio vs. Evan Dunham.

FanHouse is live in Portland and will provide round-by-round details of every match. The first bout is scheduled to begin 7:45PM ET.

Matt Hamill: Brandon Vera Will See a New Weapon at UFC 102

The best mixed martial artists are the ones who are constantly developing new skills, and Matt Hamill showed that off in a big way in his last fight: Hamill, primarily known as a wrestler before, knocked out Mark Munoz with a devastating kick to the head in their fight at UFC 96 in March.

Now Hamill is preparing for a fight with Brandon Vera at UFC 102 in August, and he says Vera had better be ready for another new weapon. Video below.

When Matt Hamill first appeared on The Ultimate Fighter, he was an aspiring mixed martial artist whose method of fighting was fairly simple and fairly boring: He was a big, strong college wrestler who beat his opponents by holding them down and overpowering them.

But Hamill, who now has eight UFC fights under his belt, showed at UFC 96 on Saturday night that he has evolved in MMA to the point where no one would call his fighting style "simple" or "boring."
